PineSweeper

Avoid the owls

Published by: Nicholas Exner

Description

If you enjoy Minesweeper type games and nature, you will love this game. Each day millions of trees are cut down destroying the habitat of endangered species. The spotted owl is no different. In an effort to raise awareness of environmental issues such as this, PineSweeper was created to explore the dangers of deforestation.
Try to cut down (tap) all of the trees without cutting down the home of a spotted owl. If there are no owls nearby, a wider space will open up. If you think you know where one of six spotted owls are living, tap the flag and then click on its home to preserve it with a flag. After all of the harvest-able trees not having owls are tapped, everyone wins! However, if you chop down an owl's home then everyone loses.
