I recently downloaded pinna in hopes of being able to listen to podcasts on a nice app. Right after I made an account, I quickly realized that I would have to pay money to be able to listen to even the first episode of anything! All I would be able to listen to the trailer for free and then after that it would be for money. I don’t understand what the point of a basic plan is if you can’t even do anything! I really wish that there was an area for you to be able to find podcasts that would be for free, so I’ll be able to listen to the entire thing without paying money.
We’ve used Pinna for many years. Our children love it and listen to it in the car, at home, and everywhere. They love the stories, podcasts, and other content.
My 7-year-old loves this app. Whether we’re driving for 10 minutes or 10 hours, she’s wants her podcasts. Xtra Blurt started it all for us, but now she’s got a a growing lists of “favorites.” We all love Grim, Grimmer, Grimmest! The content in this app is safe enough that I don’t really have to monitor what she listens to. The characters and hosts in each podcast are memorable and easy to listen to (for the most part 😉). The creativity, whether in content or presentation, is perfect for many age groups. We are definitely fans and are so happy that we found this!

This is by far our moat used app. There are so many high quality books and shows. My son starts his day with a Pinna show over breakfast and listens to stories as he falls asleep. I am also a teacher and use it in the classroom. Thank you!
We discovered Pinna during the pandemic and we have enjoyed listening as a homeschooling family ever since! My child and I have listened to a new podcast adventure during lunch together often. It’s also great for him to keep himself busy on long car rides instead of playing video games or watching a screen. The original stories are great because the voice actors are so good! We are so glad we found Pinna!
Kids and I love pinna we purchase the yearly subscription. Up until recently I have loved that I can let the kids choose their own stories to listen to. Giving me time to work on chores or independent projects. 2022 book additions are a little questionable though(we loved the 2020 and 21 books) I don’t typically sensor books but these ones while appropriate for 12yos, are giving my 6yo nightmares and there is no way to remove them from his list. He doesn’t want to listen to them and has asked me to pick out his books so he doesn’t accidentally get a scary one. The age button in the top corner only works for the main screen, my kid likes to choose the longer chapter books (where all the scary space stories with kid eating plants are )it also resets everytime we leave the app. I don’t need to fully sensor my kid, but we both would feel better if Momma could take the scary books out of his library so he could freely select books again.
