## Pipe Working Pressure Calc Description
Pipe Burst Working Pressure Calculator is a physics/math tool designed to calculate fluid pressure, pipe wall thickness, pipe outside diameter, safety factor, or material strength.

To find the burst pressure of a pipe, Barlow&#039;s Formula is used, along with associated equations to determine the working pressure of a pipe with a known diameter.

Barlow’s Formula establishes the relationship between internal pressure, allowable stress, nominal thickness, and diameter.

Equation:
P = (2*S*T)/(OD*SF)

Where:
P = Fluid Pressure (psi)
T = Pipe Wall Thickness (in)
OD = Pipe Outside Diameter (in)
SF = Safety Factor (for general calculations, use 1.5 – 10; use 1 for bursting pressure)
S = Material Strength (psi), minimum yield strength
