I have some ideas to share that I think would make the game better. Every 10 levels you upgrade should be a visual experience as well. Also, the time it takes to farm a fort feels really rough, even with upgraded cannons. Maybe reduce the time by half or add an accuracy upgrade to target the biggest clusters. A bigger issue is that it took a while to figure out how to start the battles. Maybe a single message tutorial would be sufficient. I also think the ship should be an auto send out. Maybe have it set up where you buy the upgrades at the town hall and when the ship gets back to the port, it has a cooldown while all of the bought upgrades are upgrading. I would also incorporate some kind of slow passive income: maybe have like fishermen, crabbers, and hunters wander the island, gather and return the resources. Allow multiple units of each type to be purchased. This would make it feel more pirate king.
