## Pitti Palace Full Guide Description
You are visiting the most desired address in Florence - a lavishly decorated luxury apartment in a palatial setting that was the home of the Medici and several former rulers. Although it was occupied by the Medici it was built by a business man and banker named Pitti who was their sworn enemy and arch rival but was ironically forced to bury the hatchet and sell the property to them due to his bankruptcy. 

Inside, the rooms of the luxurious residence are eye poppingly decorated with Cortona’s frescoes and the walls are bejewelled with the gems of Renaissance painting. In fact they are filled with the most amazing Titians and Raphaels that are so tightly packed that you cannot see the wall they are hung in. if that is not your cup of tea there is an entire floor of modern art and a brilliant cafe to sip some coffee. But of course the most significant addition brought in by the Medici to the original set up was the purchase of a vast land adjacent to the palace which was owned by a man named Boboli. Years of brilliant landscaping has transformed these lands in to a walking paradise. The central axis of the Boboli garden features an amazing array of fountains that lures unsuspecting walkers into a strenuous uphill climb but then your effort is rewarded with unparalleled views of the city. 

The lavishly decorated royal apartments, other museums that occupy the building and its adjoining sumptuous gardens is something if you can, should
never miss in Florence. It will find a way into your heart and become one of the cherihed memories that will stay with you long after you have left the city.
