Planes Live - Flight Tracker .

If you want to sit look up at the sky and see where the plane overhead is going to. This app Scores 6 out of 5. If you want to follow a flight a friend is on, say from London to Cayman via Miami. It's a nightmare. It not intuitive, you need to learn all settings. I previously used flight tracker ( no longer available ) which was so simple. Punch in your flight and one screen was updated. A bit like a departure board. With this app it's like it's sends you email after email after email with the latest update. If you track a flight it seems to drop you out, you then need to check back in and re-tract the flight. Just not an easy app for those that just want to track a flight from A to B.

Edited to add: I’m deleting this app. I really enjoyed it for the first free week but once I realized the price is $8 A W E E K(!!!!!!!), I closed it out and won’t be looking back. They claim you can save money by getting the yearly subscription for $100 but come on now. What is wrong with these people. I’d hesitate if it were an $8 one-time purchase. If it was offered at $4 for a one-time I’d be happy with it but this subscription price is BANANAS. The review below was written before I realized the ridiculous subscription price. _________________________ For years I had been using the other flight tracker app that was very popular but over the last several months it degraded into a subscription money grab while the features degraded. I had enough and was so happy to find this app! I love the features and how I can personalize it. I’ve been using it for a few days now and it always shows the aircraft that are overhead. It’s very pretty, too. What I love most is that it features helicopters as well as planes which I really appreciate.

My 6 year old is flying with airline assistance and I downloaded this app so I could track his flight every step of the way. After an hour it showed the plane did a u turn and was back at Dulles. I started freaking out and called the airline and it was still in route. It did not turn back and there are no issues. Horrible and I accurate app!

I usually track family flights overseas and this tracker works fine until it doesn’t. In the middle of the flight all data is removed and the plane disappears showing the red line going back to the airport. I try powering off but still a no go. What am I paying for? Apparently not to track a plane.

Love the app! However, support is terrible. Sent a support request through the app and the email got bounced back to me saying that the email address was no longer in use and to send a support request through the app (???). I sent an email to the address in the App Store, got a reply that basically said to look in the FAQ on the website and if the question was already answered there, you wouldn’t get a reply. I checked the FAQ. Question wasn’t answered. Replied to that email. It’s been 2 weeks and still no response. Enjoy the app, just don’t expect any help if you contact support.

Information is so inaccurate it’s embarrassing can’t find any flights and the worst app to navigate

If you care about the map tracking feature, it doesn't often work. Many times it has shown a flight going in the opposite direction in should be, yet the fligt data is correct when not using the map.
