Let’s You take a picture of your food and logs it for you. Gives you all the info you could want. Takes a scan of your body. Etc. everything’s an estimate but I’ve Found it pretty accurate so far -- Mo.lyss, 2026-10-17 ### ***** "Love this app!" Better than any calorie tracking app I’ve ever used! And great customer service :) highly recommend! -- AmyG25401, 2026-10-15 ### *---- "Free ??!!!!" It said it’s a free option but it doesn’t really exist when you create the account the option are to pay!!! Gracias PlateLens -- $&👍🏽, 2026-10-02 ### ***** "100% worth it" So easy to use, I used to have MyFitnessPal but couldn’t be consistent. Platelens has helped me lose weight no regrets!! -- Chasqui$$, 2026-09-30 ### ***** "Fantastic!" This app is incredibly helpful. I can track my calories, macros, water intake, and steps all in one place. The photo option is incredibly helpful and easy to edit if necessary. Customer service was fantastic as well when I had a question. -- Kayce2019, 2026-09-30 ### **--- "Parlor Trick more than tech" This app is more of a parlor than technology. The barcode scans often don’t match calories on packaging (even simple popular ones). The plain language doesn’t pick up nuances like brand. The photo recognition translates into highly generic descriptions even when it’s clearly possible to use the AI to find the more exact calories. If you care about precision, this app isn’t ready yet. -- Abc833, 2026-09-25 ### ***** "My favorite calorie tracker" This is my favorite calorie tracker. I find it super useful and accurate, and completely love the AI Coach. Great. -- Cammy_Beaudoiny, 2026-09-08 ### ***** "Flexible, comprehensive nutrition tracker and coach" I was looking for a tool that provides flexibility in terms of tracking - based on photo, verbal input, manual input, along with ability to subsequently edit the components. I’m constantly impressed with its ability to discern all elements from the photo, as well as to adjust on the fly based on a comment like “only ate 2/3 of …” - AI Coach can be configured to meet your preferences. Very educational, and I expect it to prove to be a key partner along this journey. -- Data Deb, 2026-09-08 ### *---- "Free version" Not free! Also, you do have to provide a credit card and choose a plan that doesn’t include “free.” Totally false representation. -- MacMomma23, 2026-09-05 ### *---- "False advertised price!" When I first install this app as a trial, it said that it would only be $6.99/mo which I was cool with. The issue arose when they took out the first payment of almost $80! A full year upfront!!! Now, I was under the assumption that it was the advertise price and now it has put me in a debt with Apple to where I can’t even update a simple app. I’ve tried to contact the customer service and gotten no response. I even added my account on the cancellation day and was still charged. When I try and cancel it now it says I can’t cancel until next year. That’s some sketchy stuff…. -- Kartunejunky, 2026-09-03 ### *---- "Great idea, but not reliable enough for the price" I really wanted to like Plate Lens and paid around $80 specifically for the “ease of tracking.” Unfortunately, I’ve had to constantly double-check or manually enter information. A 200-calorie bar scanned as 104 calories, while another food showed 220 instead of 130. Some products aren't in the database at all. Photo tracking doesn't let me adjust individual ingredients, only the entire meal. The app has also shown me at 87% of my calorie goal while the Coach said I was 680 calories over. I also entered dairy as a dietary restriction, yet the Coach recommended Greek yogurt. A 3-day trial wasn't enough time to discover these issues. When I requested a refund, it was denied and I was instead asked to extensively document the problems for their development team. There are great ideas here, but for someone seriously tracking calories/macros, I don't think it's reliable enough yet—especially at this price. -- CallieJane01, 2026-08-21 ### **--- "Better apps available for less" Still struggling to do the most basic of things. Significant issues with scanning barcodes. The AI fix/ edit will out right ignore your input 75% of the time. Most of the barcode scans that found the product, assumed I was consuming the entire package. Like an entire bottle of coffee creamer, or whole entire package of sliced cheese. Broken concept of servings even if you take a picture of the nutrition label. SMH. -- Use Cal AI, 2026-07-25 ### ***** "Very Great Free Option" Honestly not too much to complain about since the app is free. It does suck that there is a daily limit of 2 for the manual type up and photo scan, but at least you can log previous meals. -- Mau.Elias, 2026-07-14 ### *---- "Very inaccurate" This app is pretty terrible. Using the barcode scanner, it finds things but the nutritional info is completely wrong. Even if it’s right, after adding the food to a meal, it completely changes the nutritional info it initially showed. I didn’t even try the AI scanner but if the barcode scanner is this bad I have no faith in the ai image scanner -- Valabrax, 2026-07-08 ### ***-- "Accuracy" I like the interface of the app and the fact that I can enter manually, however the Ai photo feature is very inaccurate, only gets it right if you weight it correctly. For some reason chat got told me at some point it’s the most accurate app but it’s not saying that anymore lol -- Lord ruler Allomancer, 2026-07-02 ### ***** "All around great app!" This is the most accurate ai calorie tracker on the market. It has everything you could want, calorie counting, macro tracking, fasting timer, water intake reminders, a surprisingly good ai coach, and plenty more. I enjoy the manual entry and voice entry over the photo tool! (Nothing wrong with the photo tool, I just like typing what I’m cooking as I go) The daily score is a great way to keep tabs on your overall eating habits for the day, it has been great motivation! To add to the great app, the customer support is truly second to none. I reached out regarding special discounts. Not only did they accommodate the discount. They responded quickly and were more than helpful with all my questions and needs! I hope they keep this app going strong! I could really see this taking over the calorie counting market! -- Skyler V., 2026-06-01 ### *---- "Dissatisfied and being refused correspondence about a refund." I am extremely dissatisfied with the PlateLens customer service. I have emailed support 3 times and have not received a single response, despite the website promising a response within 24 hours. The $80 charge for a year subscription went through without the promised notification at the end of the free trial. I would like to be refunded as I am dissatisfied the accuracy of the app and with my experience and do not want the year subscription. -- LilyBagel, 2026-05-29 ### *---- "So disappointing" I found this app and was so excited to be able to log my food from a photo. It was frustrating right from the start. It would not let me accurately log my current weight or my goal weight. I could go a pound or 2 up or a pound or 2 down. Then the app glitched and did not save so I had to start my profile all over. I then snapped my first meal- bacon and eggs. Easy enough, right? Nope, it calculated 407 calories when the actual total was 286. I don’t expect an exact science but a difference of 121 calories is quite a bit for 2 items widely known items. I found the AI coach annoying. So it’s been deleted. -- bmacva, 2026-05-18 [View all PlateLens reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## PlateLens In-App Purchases | Item | Price | |------|-------| | PlateLens Premium | $19.99 | ## PlateLens Store Rankings | Chart | Country | Category | Rank | |-------|---------|----------|------| | Top Grossing | Malaysia | Health Fitness | #19 | | Top Grossing | Philippines | Health Fitness | #84 | | Top Free | Chile | Health Fitness | #240 | ## PlateLens Discovered Keywords -
