I loved Playbeat 3 when it came out. I still have it installed and use it frequently. I’ve been so content with PB3 that I almost dismissed this one because I didn’t think I needed it. However, I gave Playbeat 4 another shot and can’t stop playing with it! This is an incredible evolution from an already great app! The new generative features take this to another level, and I’ve yet to generate anything that wasn’t fantastic. I also love all the expanded custom and generative keyboard controls and layout at the bottom Highly recommended! :) -- skiphunt, 2025-12-24 ### *---- "Where’s my Playbeat 3" I bought a copy of Playbeat 3 and now it is unavailable on the App Store. I supported your company and you have taken my software away from me. -- Glass wedge, 2025-06-08 ### *---- "Fonts are microscopic" I can’t understand how a developer can make an app that is almost impossible to see, there is soooo much wasted space. I’d be happy to purchase the expansions if I could actually see the text and controls. -- optahealth, 2025-04-21 ### ***** "Found some bug" Whenever i try to export all tracks of a certain midi sequence I like, PB puts out an unusable midi file with no structure, all steps smushed into a single note. So I cant use the ideas i get to make a new work , which pretty much beats the apps purpose. Kindly check this out Update: thank you for educating me! Updating to 5 stars. -- Obama2.1, 2025-03-31 ### ****- "THANKS FOR THE FONT FIX!" I love the new update with the increased font size! I struggled to use the app because of the small fonts and low contrast in the UI. Now I can see much better…. Thanks for listening and making these improvements. -- UrbanImages, 2025-03-22 ### ***** "Fantastic" The new features are amazing!! Thank you for a fun experience! -- @thekrazywabbit, 2025-03-21 ### *---- "PlayBeat4ConsumerUnhappyWithiPadMini2iOS12.5.7" Dear Audiomodern developers, my review is more about expressing or spreading my discontent with you. I just realized that this time, my criticism and disappointment aren't going to the App Store. I wanted to buy PlayBeat 3, and strangely enough, it was only compatible with a higher version of iOS than the one I have, so I couldn't get used to it. And now you're releasing the same app, PlayBeat 4, which is superior to the previous version and is compatible with my device. You're definitely being very mean and shameless. As a consumer, I'm speaking out against these outrageous marketing strategies. I don't see the difference between charging a direct price for purchase and offering it for free, installing it, and then having to pay to unlock its most important and functional parts. And thank goodness you don't have that other absurd subscription strategy, which is a real rip-off. I don't understand why there are people who pay monthly or yearly for something they already bought. In conclusion, I've realized that you, as developers, program apps to work on your chosen versions of iOS. You've already demonstrated this with this bad trick: PlayBeat 3 iOS v. 13 or higher, and now PlayBeat 4, compatible with iOS lower than v. 13, free, with a fee for general unlocking. Your apps are great, but your marketing strategies leave much to be desired. I want you to understand my dissatisfaction as a consumer. -- ojomamones, 2025-03-16 ### ***** "Playbeat is better than ever!" I always thought playbeat 3 was the best generative drum machine for iPad, but DrumComputer was something I also loved and was hard to top. With Playbeat 4, I think I found my favorite drum machine now. Audiomodern still packs it with great presets, and the generative rhythms are still awesome, but what makes this different is the AI. When you choose a genre it will adapt the pattern and sounds to the selections, so you could blend genres. Certain things I appreciated were the slider to choose how intense or little you want to adjust the randomization. Changing the complexity retains the pattern if you like it and the AI makes very tasteful adjustments to the rhythm. (Snap to scale for melodic generation is useful if you want to adjust something that I also noticed.) When it comes to AI, I’m not a big user for melodic and instrumentation elements, but I definitely can use a hand with it for my percussion and rhythm. Playbeat 4 is perfect to this end. -- yellow eyez, 2025-03-07 [View all Playbeat 4 reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Playbeat 4 In-App Purchases | Item | Price | |------|-------| | Unlock all features | $29.99 | | Knock | $9.99 | | Orion | $9.99 | | Voltage | $9.99 | | Exodus | $9.99 | | Sublation | $9.99 | | Ex Ante | $9.99 | ## Playbeat 4 Discovered Keywords - drum - playbeat 4 ## Apps Similar to Playbeat 4 - [Chord Generator By Mario Nieto](https://apptail.io/app/chord-generator-by-mario-nieto-vEMu/united-states) - [DM10 - Drum & Synth Machine](https://apptail.io/app/dm10-drum-synth-machine-tvSu/united-states) - [jAmp Percussive](https://apptail.io/app/jamp-percussive-Pkbv/united-states) - [Groove Rider 2](https://apptail.io/app/groove-rider-2-Azfv/united-states) - [King of VHS: VCR Synth](https://apptail.io/app/king-of-vhs-vcr-synth-cdkv/united-states) - [Elastic OSC](https://apptail.io/app/elastic-osc-QDtv/united-states) - [Dialekt for iPad](https://apptail.io/app/dialekt-for-ipad-ZKtv/united-states) - [Circa Looper](https://apptail.io/app/circa-looper-Bwxv/united-states) - [BA-1 FX Strip - Baby Audio](https://apptail.io/app/ba-1-fx-strip-baby-audio-qqPv/united-states) - [Battalion - Drum Machine](https://apptail.io/app/battalion-drum-machine-dKVv/united-states) ## Playbeat 4 Available In - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/playbeat-4-DVav/united-states) - [Russia](https://apptail.io/app/playbeat-4-DVav/russia) - [Poland](https://apptail.io/app/playbeat-4-DVav/poland) - [Canada](https://apptail.io/app/playbeat-4-DVav/canada) - [Czechia](https://apptail.io/app/playbeat-4-DVav/czechia) - [Netherlands](https://apptail.io/app/playbeat-4-DVav/netherlands) - [Peru](https://apptail.io/app/playbeat-4-DVav/peru) - [Mexico](https://apptail.io/app/playbeat-4-DVav/mexico) - [Chile](https://apptail.io/app/playbeat-4-DVav/chile) - [Colombia](https://apptail.io/app/playbeat-4-DVav/colombia) - [Ecuador](https://apptail.io/app/playbeat-4-DVav/ecuador) - [Brazil](https://apptail.io/app/playbeat-4-DVav/brazil) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
