## PlaybookUX Description
** NOTE: UX Mobile Testing Recorder is NOT a general purpose screen recording tool. It is invite only. **

The PlaybookUX app allows you test mobile websites and prototypes so you can provide companies with feedback. In order take a test with the PlaybookUX app, you must first have a link to the study. You will be given task instructions and asked to verbally provide feedback while interacting with the website or prototype.

## PlaybookUX Reviews in United States

### *---- "Don't waste your time"
Just say no to any studies that involve this app. It doesn't upload. (or if it does, they don't acknowledge it and you don't get paid. Tried twice. Over an hour of time that could have beeb spent doing literally ANYTHING ELSE.
-- E.XSW, 2025-04-30

### *---- "PlaybookUX"
I have tried repeatedly to complete this study. I have followed the directions as given. I get as far as a screen that say playbookUX and turn on the microphone. There is a timer icon to g up After 5 kin I hit back arrow I checked and I have downloaded the app I’m generally good w this kind of stuff but you got me beat Sorry. I feel directions were not clear !
-- jkkze, 2025-02-06

### *---- "Fake app *Dont DL*"
! Do not download this app! This is a fake app that Just uses to app get your information and then head to upload but it never allow uploads to complete
-- Rey Castilo 0101, 2024-11-16

### *---- "Flat out doesn’t work"
Can’t even test my microphone - tried many times. I give up.
-- red8hb, 2024-09-25

### *---- "DO NOT DOWNLOAD"
They will make you download it saying you will receive $75 card after completion, but the app won’t let you upload anything. If you try to reach out to them about it, they will ignore you until the end date and then say that the study is over.
-- Pati404, 2024-09-11

### *---- "Tests do not upload."
You will spend a lot of time and energy doing a test using the Playbook UX app only for it not to upload at the end. I attempted the same test twice and each time, the app simply failed to upload the recording. It doesn’t even show any loading screen - it’s just stuck on the Upload Instructions for over an hour.
Playbook UX support articles claim that it’s possible to go find your recording in /Library/Application Support/Playbook UX, but this path is only accessible from a Mac and NOT from an iPhone. I see no evidence that anything I recorded has been saved.
-- Floraltattoo, 2023-10-12

### *---- "The app no longer works"
When I try to start a test, the button does not function. The app has many bugs at this point and has not been updated in a while. I will add more stars when the app functions properly.
-- Shawntay Williams, 2023-05-19

### *---- "Does not upload my tests"
The last two tests I've done on this app have not uploaded. I spent about half an hour on each plus the time I waited and waited for them to upload which they never did. I contacted them via email last one after the first issue and no one responded. Today was the second time I waisted my time doing another study and was able to have someone contact me back who is very nice but hasn’t solved my problem and there’s no mention of me getting payment for the time I spent doing the studies.
-- Hoppy2toes, 2023-02-28

### *---- "This is not the app you are looking for"
OMG. I just did a trial run with this and it’s horrible. I’m a UX Designer with 17yrs experience and my wife has her own usability research and testing consultant for the past 15 years. Her client decided she is to use this tool and so she wanted to do a test with me. There are so many other solutions out there. Just walk away from this. No, run.
-- R0G3R, 2021-11-02

### ****- "fix pause button"
great app & look overall but what bothers me the most is the use of the pause button. you can’t pause right away & have to stop the recording to just pause it. i wonder if it even saves the previous recording
