AMAZING Chinese Dictionary
Hoping for a PC version soon🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️
Only has one major flaw, the rest is great
The one flaw that it has, is that it labels all 成语s (chengyus) as idioms as well as non-chengyus. So when you see a word listed as idiom, you will have go nto chatGPT to find out if it was a chengyu. It would be nice if the app distinguished between chengyus and regular idioms. Other than that, its always been a go to app for me.

Best app to learn Chinese Kudos to those who made it happen
No automatic or cloud backup
First off, I absolutely adore this app. But right now, I am very angry at a critical feature that is missing - automatic cloud backup. I just switched phones and it was a hurried affair because I had to trade in my old one. Apparently, iCloud does not backup and restore Pleco's database. I was shocked to learn that Pleco only has manual backup options. It's 2024 - this is unacceptable. I just lost 3 years worth of history and can never get it back.

I HAVE USED GOODREADER FOR QUITE A LONG TIME NOW AND I CAN SAY THAT IT IS A PURE MARVEL. IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY YOU INVEST INTO IT! IT IS NOT ONLY AN ABSOLUTE MUST TO STUDY CHINESE, BUT ALSO TO WATCH MOVIES OR VIDEOS DIRECTLY WITHIN THE APP ITSELF AND SINCE YOU CAN SPLIT THE SCREEN INTO TWO WINDOWS , STUDYING WITH GOODREADER MAKES YOUR STUDIES A SHEER PLEASURE! I HAVE LOST ALL MY APPS AND WAS VERY UNHAPPY TO HAVE LOST THIS ONE, BUT THE DEVELOPPER WAS KIND ENOUGH TO SEND ME BACK MY REGISTRATION ID, IN ORDER TO RECOVER ALL MY PURCHASES. Best Chinese dictionary app so far
Easy to look up components of a word , examples of how to use that word , list of double-character words using a certain character that you look up , all that with simple clics , best dictionary app so far
ESSENTIAL Chinese Dictionary!
This app has to be one of my largest investments ever and I am proud to say it was, and still is the best Chinese learning app ever. The customizations are endless, the words and internal dictionaries are stocked FULL of words, even new idioms and internet slang. Props to the developers: you guys really knew what people wanted. Indispensable app for translation
I use this often to help me communicate with my mom or translate Chinese menu items. The Chinese input works really well for looking up words.
