Great Player

Really great interface with many features and settings. Being able to play tracks by asking Siri is a game changer!

Standout app

I’ve recently come back to Plex after using Emby for a long time. This app is amazing with only one small critique. Please let me sect more than 1 music library. I split mine in to genre based libraries as it makes navigation easier.

Buggy

Great when it works. Frustrating when it won’t.

Hard to use and crashes too often

I find the app is very difficult to use and hard to find things. Considering they are charging subscription for this it seems a bit ridiculous. Not able to do easy export of playlists and seems designed to lock you in. Look at Jellyfin or Navidrome for nice experience.

Best music player I have ever used bar nothing. Can I rate this as 10 starts

If only it displayed lyrics like a normal player

Almost perfect but this is the only player in existence that does not keep lyrics displayed after the song change. And making it like a tease, bury the lyrics button in submenu as if telling the user- no, you can’t have nice things! I saw so many people complaining about this. And for quite a long time. Why not do the right thing? Is it some kind of licensing issue? Any other player can download and show lyrics automatically without extra fees, but not Plexamp? Do Plex listen to customers, or is Plex non-commercial entity? We pay for Plex Pass, is not not enough? Was Plex Pass priced before lyrics problem arise and now they can’t charge for it? Okay let’s make lyrics display as a separate purchase. Still no? Did you create Plexamp just to torture people about lyrics?

Version 4.10.1 Carplay Issues

Updated Plexamp and now artwork does not appear at all. Now the only way I can play downloaded music is to shuffle the music. 😩

The best Audio/Media Experience Available

Finally!

Something more reliable than trying to throw terabytes of ripped music into other services, this Plex front end is just what you need to play your music remotely. I recently travelled interstate and everything just worked - I could stream my unlistenable experimental jams without any problem. Recommended. (Now make a desktop version please!)
