I can’t just play an album from my collection? Wouldn’t this be the second most basic function this type of app, first being - play this one song? I am not being belligerent but this is why I can’t recommend this app. It boggles my mind. Such a great app otherwise, but for someone that just wants to settle into an album, as the artist envisioned, this is a fatal oversight. We are not all scatterbrained sound junkies.
I sideloaded this great app on an Eversolo DMP A6, and the sound quality is amazing. It does upscale everything to 192, but it hasn’t bothered me at all, and I can control the app from my iPad mini. I finally cancelled my Roon subscription as it just didn’t compare in sound quality or appearance. Thanks Plex for a wonderful music experience.
I love PlexAmp, and I’m almost ready to leave Spotify behind, but I discovered today that you can only download 24-hours of music per playlist. Please remove the download limit. Storage isn’t an issue on my phone, and I’d like to be able to download 1,000+ song playlists or my entire library.
If your music is named correctly or at least in a uniform way then you will love this. I have nearly 70,000 tracks collected over 25-30 years and it’s the best music player I have found IMOP. It also give you so much control of your listening experience. I really with there was a watch app but I’m sure it will come.
I have my Plexamp hooked up to my Plex media server with Plex pass with about 13,000 songs all flac atm. My personal favorite Plexamp-only feature has got to be the sonic-adventure. I feel it does a way better job at recommending songs than any of the guest djs. There is also native support for lyrics that aren't anything to rave about but it's more than enough (Apple Music still does it best). Also if you have a tidal subscription and a Plex pass subscription you can integrate it and save a dollar. And with Plexamp you can have your local library be your main source of media and it natively imports music you search for with tidal results and plays it all in Plexamp pretty seamlessly. Although with Plexamp and tidal dj doppelgänger seems to be pretty much useless as it suggest THE most random junk most times. If you have a large local library of songs or are thinking of getting one this app is top-dog.
I’ve been using this app for a few weeks now and I love it. The interface can be cumbersome but easily overcome with use.

I’ve tried them all, but somehow this one is the most elegant and gives me what I want. I listen to my music without paying those monthly fees!
Longtime plex user, but not supporting multiple artists on a track is really not acceptable in current year. If they just fix this one serious issue, Plexamp will be the best music streaming service hands down.
This app is fantastic. Love it!
