That's the whole point. Plotline is a collaborative storytelling game where you and your friends each write one piece of a story — without seeing what anyone else wrote. The result? Absurd, hilarious, completely unhinged fiction that somehow holds together. Inspired by the Victorian parlor game Consequences, Plotline turns a group of friends into unwitting co-authors. One person writes the characters. Someone else sets the scene. Another adds the action. A fourth writes the dialogue. Nobody sees what came before — until it's all read aloud. -- How it works: One player hosts and shares a room code. Everyone joins from their phone. Guests join from any browser — only the host needs the app. Each round, you write one prompt for one story. Seven rounds later, players take turns reading the assembled stories aloud while everyone tries not to lose it. Free for up to 10 players. -- Upgrade to Producer and take the show further: Competitive Mode — vote on the best line from each story, deploy your one Standing Ovation per game for something truly exceptional, and play a 3 or 5-game series with persistent standings Awards Ceremony — after the final game, crown your group's most twisted creative genius across seven categories: Casting Director, Scene Stealer, Speechwriter, Closer, Fan Favorite, Popularity, and Line of the Series Every great show needs a producer. -- Best played in person. Even better with drinks. ## Plotline Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/7d/b7/3d/7db73d13-93b5-d109-d1d4-4038d06b7775/plotline_8.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/57/a7/7c/57a77cbb-533f-88ff-0c94-45b071a3ec95/plotline_6.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/91/04/66/91046609-46d4-22b8-c01b-ea02bc8ff597/plotline_5.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/e8/fc/38/e8fc38f2-04f1-5647-fbf2-0100b0d62805/plotline_7.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 5](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/90/a7/cd/90a7cd5c-e0f7-a22e-c645-b9794306ef7e/plotline_10.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 6](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/d1/9d/10/d19d1065-4c46-cf8f-ac2a-7a20bd8a84f4/plotline_11.png/1242x2688.png) ## Plotline Rating Breakdown in United States - 5 stars: 2 (100%) - 4 stars: 0 (0%) - 3 stars: 0 (0%) - 2 stars: 0 (0%) - 1 stars: 0 (0%) ## Plotline Reviews in United States ### ***** "Absolutely amazing" I played this game with my friends and had a blast. the game is super easy to understand and competitive mode is totally worth it.
