Great app, and daily use is an understatement. Just needs a couple of tweaks… 

We have been using this for years, and it’s been extremely useful for secure messaging and billing in our practice. The CPT codes are not always 100% accurate.

For example, they will take generalized codes for unspecified diagnoses that someone in practice has used for an otherwise unspecified diagnosis. Instead of keeping it in the database as one possible option for that code, they will treat it as the actual option or diagnosis, which is misleading. 

Let me give you an example: typing “M86.08” should pull up: “Acute Hematogenous Osteomyelitis, Other Sites” but instead, at our practice, it may pull up “Osteomyelitis, Hematogenous of Cervical Spine C4 C5” because someone in our practice used that code to specify “Other Site” for a particular patient. That's a proper use of the code- but the next user can misunderstand and think the ICD10 code M86.08 is specifically for cervical spine OM hematogenous spread (also, the acute vs subacute vs chronic was lost there)…

Or the reverse is true. If you only type “osteomyelitis of cervical spine” into the search, you will get “M46.22,” - so the bottom line is that this app is super useful and adaptable. However, it is worth double-checking your codes for billing accuracy. 

I suffer from Misophonia and the alert tones are all so awful and grating… I want to throw my phone through a window at someone. It is upsetting. And because it is my JOB 😑😤 I cannot turn off the notifications . So please research text tones for misophonia sufferers or just allow for the same kind as on our iPhones? 

Other than that, I have one concern /recommendation: my staff continuously calls me by accident. Is there any way to move the call 📞 / video 🎥chat button away from the text area, & add a second step to confirm that you’re trying to make a call or video conference? 

After all, some of these are group text messages with multiple people, including physicians +/or patients, and it’s wildly inappropriate to be accidentally calling or video chatting them, sometimes repeatedly, (or a HIPPA violation if you were not to realize it and accidentally have a conversation with the call open and disclose patient information.)

I just downloaded this app for a new doctor that requires it.  I was horrified to learn that an app that is supposed to HIPPA compliant requires patients to turn on notifications from the app in order to use it.  That means if my phone is sitting out and my doctor sends a message anyone now knows I have a message from my doctor.  While not huge the problem is this is completely unnecessary, and raises risks of larger breaches.  I too am a healthcare provider, LCSW, so regularly use telemedicine with my clients and none of those require this.  It makes me uncomfortable which is exactly what you don’t want for your patients.  This is a bad app that should be avoided at all costs if you care about your patients.

Our office has moved to using pMD for mobile charge capture. Can you please add some features to the app such as: color change or checkmark for completed/submitted charges so it is immediately clear on iPhone that the patient is addressed, clean up some of the misspellings for diagnosis descriptions, make the Internet/computer-based version more user-friendly

We are a healthcare company so got PMD to be HIPAA compliant. I found out the free app cannot delete old employees. I didnt think it was a big deal until a former employee engages in sending harassing messages on PMD after we removed her access from other areas of communication. Our admin had to call PMD and argue with rep, request a supervisor and explain the threat this was causing. PMD did eventually delete her access.

### *---- "Hospital Follow Up Video Call"
I’ve never written an App review before but this experience was so bad I had to share it. To begin with, the password set set up is cumbersome and very frustrating. This thing acts like your trying to hack into a Nuclear launch code. 
Then after the set up was complete, and even with a test call with the doctors assistant to make sure it worked, the Doctor called and the microphone became disabled? After Four unsuccessful calls the Doctor had to make a regular old phone call ( welcome back to 1990 ). This wouldn’t be any big deal if this were a pizza delivery app but when your dealing with serious medical issues and vital information? 
FaceTime technology isn’t something brand new and works flawlessly, maybe these developers should call Apple and see if they can give them some tips on how to get this to work properly?

Takes a little bit a time to get used to it and most of that time is use for the doctors and his assistants.But for the end-user it couldn’t be any more simple. Really well done application. The pMD application even has support… I mean telephone support and the support team is really good .
