## PocDoc Description

PocDoc is part of a UK CA marked lateral flow device that enables trained users to provide their patients with a point-of-care five-marker cholesterol test in under 10 minutes.
 
The PocDoc app works in conjunction with the PocDoc Lipid Test and can provide results in minutes, whereas the same test may take many days through a laboratory. Tests are provided directly from PocDoc and are not available for individuals to purchase directly.
 
Whether you are providing preventative healthcare checks, wellness checks, or cardiovascular health screens, the simple PocDoc test can determine the concentration of all the three cholesterol types from a single finger prick (20μL). From these three types, a further two markers can be inferred (non-HDL, LDL) and TC:HDL ratio, giving you:
• Total Cholesterol (direct measurement)
• non-HDL (inferred calculation)
• LDL (inferred calculation)
• HDL (direct calculation)
• Total Cholesterol/HDL ratio (inferred calculation)
• Triglycerides (direct measurement).

Our advanced cloud-based computer vision algorithm, simplifies and accelerate the work undertaken in labs. PocDoc will guide you through every step of the process, providing you with a clear and reliable panel of results to discuss with your patient.

If any follow-up action is indicated, based on the results of your test (i.e. if you receive an 'unhealthy' result), this must be done in consultation with a healthcare professional (e.g. your doctor or physician). Do not take any decisions relating to starting or stopping medication or changing medication, or medical treatment, without first consulting your GP.

Already nervous about doing the test and I bleed quite a bit which makes me anxious and sick for a little while but willing to do this for the greater good… except now I’m gonna have to do that twice.. or maybe more 😡

My device is compatible, I checked, I accepted camera permissions etc and it was working just fine because that’s how I scanned the QR code on the test kit within the app… took my blood which went everywhere and did the test… expected to be relieved but your camera wouldn’t work… no issues on my end and with only 5 minutes to spare it was a panic to find a solution. There was no solution, tried to check the camera to scan the QR code again and understood that it told me the test had already been used which is fine but after that the camera now won’t work for anything at all!! Thanks, now I’m gonna have to go through this all over again

It’s been 5 days since my test is still pending. I don’t know if I did it right or wrong because the app never tells you to. However I followed the step to every detail. They promise you result within 10 minutes. At least I got it for free so no money lost to this yet another health scam.

Asian male 54 recommended to take Statins so I took action with my diet one day reducing weight down to healthy levels and exercising.  This test showed that my cholesterol. Range by taking these sections in the space of four weeks. I would only get one annual test from my GP. This pop doc allows me to do it monthly. And stay on top of the outcomes and take action and avoid unnecessary medication.
