Pocket Penguins, streaming in real-time from the California Academy of Sciences, provides an intimate view into our live African penguin exhibit. Watch the birds swim, dive, flirt, nest and relax from any one of three live webcams. Listen in as Academy biologists answer questions from visitors during meal time, daily at 10:30am and 3:00pm PST. The Academy's penguins are part of the American Zoo and Aquarium Association's Species Survival Program, aimed at conserving this species in the wild. African penguins (Spheniscus demersus) live off the coast of South Africa and Namibia. In 2010, the International Union for Conservation of Nature classified the species as endangered, or at very high risk of extinction in the wild. And unfortunately the underwater view is in black and white, it looks like the exhibit is small.. and the underwater view shows penguins pacing up and down the glass like they are trying to go through, looks like they need more space. These penguins look very bored and unhappy. Boston Aquarium is completely different, bright and spacious, high energy, you can tell they are pretty happy. This app makes me sad. -- Kar926, 2025-08-10 ### ***** "Please never stop supporting this app!" I first discovered this app 10 years ago. And since then the penguins have provided me with 10 years of cuteness. -- The invisible turtle, 2025-07-08 ### ***** "GREAT APP" I put five stars because that’s the highest I could put it. This app is incredible and I love watching the penguins while I eat and love the q and as on the app. Plus penguins are my favorite animal. -- Fgchfjvhvgfhfgju, 2025-06-15 ### ***** "Love it!" I love it I love how they wiggle around and you should make an app for Claud I went and saw the penguin get fed and a Claud live cam would be cool also! -- I was a sucker!, 2025-03-13 ### ***** "Cannot open app" I had app for years to watch the penguins every so often. I haven’t checked it in years and when I went to go check on my old apps I saw and pressed on it. Whenever I try to load in I instantly crash! -- coolguy937, 2024-10-29 ### ***** "Cute, love the feeding demos" The feeding with the penguins lined up is the best. Love everything about this app. Keeps us entertained on slow, bad TV days. Love it as a screensaver or cheering myself up! -- $$$$$$$$M1, 2024-10-13 ### ****- "Great app, ios18 problems" This used to be a great app, but I get an automatic "crash to desktop" under iOS 18 when attempting to open it. -- OakDragon, 2024-10-11 ### ***** "I love this app 🐧❤️🐧❤️🐧❤️🐧❤️🐧❤️🐧" This app is awesome! This is a very high quality app, with very in detail q&a. I checked the facts, everything they say is true. Would rate infinity stars if I could. -- iLoveMewFromPokémon!, 2023-01-17 [View all Pocket Penguins reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Apps Similar to Pocket Penguins -
