## PocketGrib Description
Avec PocketGrib, vous pouvez télécharger, afficher et analyser des données météorologiques d monde entier, même en déplacement.

Les données concernant le vent, les précipitations, la pression, la température et les vagues sont extraites des fichiers de GRIB et affichées par le biais de notre puissante interface d'affichage GRIB.

Idéale pour les marins (en mer et au café), les véliplanchistes, les chasseurs d'orages, les passionnés de plein-air et les météorologues professionnels et amateurs.

Fonctionnalités :
- Choix de la position de la carte et superposition des informations météorologiques ;
- Animation des cartes météo ;
- Affichage de la météo sous forme de météogramme (graphique) ou de données brutes ;
- Configuration du téléchargement afin de réduire au maximum la taille des fichiers (idéal en roaming) ;
- Téléchargement possible des fichiers de GRIB sur votre PC par le biais d'iTunes ;
- Affichage en ligne et hors connexion ;
- Prise en charge des fichiers de GRIB tiers.

PocketGrib téléchargements et affiche les types de conditions météorologiques suivantes:
- Vitesse et direction du vent 
- Précipitations (pluie, neige etc,)
- Pression au niveau
- Température de l'air 
- Waves (y compris la Méditerranée et la mer Noire)
- Couverture nuageuse
- Humidité relative
CAPE (convectif de l'énergie potentielle disponible )
- Courant (Atlantique seulement)

Téléchargement direct des données de GRIB à partir du modèle GFS (Global Forecast System) de l'agence américaine National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)
- Prévisions jusqu'à 8 jours
- Étapes de données : 3 h, 6 h, 12 h
- Couverture mondiale
- Résolution : 0.25°, 0,5°, 1°, 2°
- Mise à jour des données 4 fois par jour (toutes les 6 heures)
Par ailleurs, prise en charge des modèles COAMPS (résolution 0,2°), WW3, NOGAPS, RTOFS (courants) et FNMOC WW3 (Mediterranean wave).

Les prévisions GRIB sont communiquées sans intervention ou révision humaine. Ainsi, l'utilisateur final doit disposer de certaines connaissances et notions. La plupart des modèles GRIB ne prévoient PAS de façon précise les ouragans et les cyclones tropicaux. Leur utilisation devrait donc être associée à celle de prévisions propres aux ouragans et aux cyclones tropicaux.

La consultation du site et le chargement des gribs sur mon iPad font partie de ma check-list avant chaque navigation, qu'elle soit d'une demi-journée ou d'une semaine. J'apprécie la vue d'ensemble, le zoom facile et les prévisions en général que je trouve plutôt fiables. Et le chargement des gribs ne demande pas longtemps. C'est précieux quand on a une connexion de faible débit.
