When you are in the monthly view and select the + icon to quick add a new event, the entire app shuts down after typing a single letter. The only way to add a new event is to create an event template first and assigning it to the specific day.
There is a lot to love about the app like the event templates, inbox telling you which invites you have and haven’t replied to, the interaction with the reminders app, etc. The one thing that is a really big problem for me (though I’m sure it doesn’t mean anything to most people) is that I can’t choose the color for each of the calendars. So even though it’s synced with my google calendar it looks completely different so like all the items that are red on google are green on pocket. Yes I suppose I could go back and change the colors on google but whenever I start a new calendar pocket while bring it in but at a new color. For me everything is color coded— my books, my calendars, me pens…so not having choices on the that is a BIG deal for me. I realize it may not matter at all to anyone else.
Updated version is NOT user friendly. As with all updates, it takes a little time to get used to. Well I’ve given it over 6 months & still do not like it. If these changes are more the norm, I’ll be finding another calendar app when this subscription expires. 2 stars ONLY because it used to be a great app.

I have been using this calendar for many years now. I have a busy schedule and at a glance I can see the upcoming week with descriptions. I share the calendar with my significant other so that we can avoid any snafu. I love the different colors and settings and how other calendars can roll into it. I will continue to purchase it every year for as long as it is around.
This has been my favorite calendar for years, but it seems lately I cannot go back to previous dates I used to just be able to tap and go back to any year or day. I wanted now. I just can’t find out how to do it.
Love the diff colors that can be assigned. Wish the icon would show current day & date instead of saying Pocket Life. Needs an edit option on entries already made. A little complicated to maneuver, update:: what happened to the colors?no longer have option to assign colors to entries! That’s a big problem for people like me who have eyesight problems. Please bring the color option back!!!!
