Podcast Player RSSRadio App

This app has been around longer than stitcher or the Apple podcast app, it’s free it’s simple to use,the automation of an RSS feed is super simple, just take a minute to learn the interface. You can customize exactly how many of each show you listen to stays archived, stays downloaded after you listen, there’s 1.1. & 1.2 speed control. We need more of these Less flashy apps that just do their job and are not focused on collecting data. I’d pay $5 for a pro version that removes the ads and had a bit more updating on this discovery side of the content.

Plays the podcasts in the order I want, and eliminates pauses to save listening time! Great app and continues to be maintained by the developer.

For me at least this is the best podcast app there is. No fluff just simplicity at its finest. Perhaps other apps have more features, but then they also offer more complications, more hands on, more work. Every once in a while, I will look for new apps, love Spotify but not for podcasts. There are dozens of apps tried but always come back to RSS.

Tried few apps and finally settled with this one. It's very customizable and even allow you to set starting/ending time for different podcasts. The learning curve is a bit higher compared to others, but no one could beat the functionality.

I like a lots of things about this podcast, like the ability to cue up a number of podcasts, so you can set up an evening of listening. I do wish there were more options for how many podcasts you can save, it seems like you can have 4 or less or the entire set of shows. Some podcasts have been running for years now so that’s a lot of podcasts. If you have 4 new podcasts downloaded, and you go to download another older podcast you have to change your settings or it will delete it as soon as you download it. So I get many warnings about how many podcasts I’m following and saving

A great player I hope never to be without. It can be a bit challenging to configure to do something special, but whatever you want to do can be done. An excellent app with great support.

The developer has been lovingly maintaining this app for probably a decade. So much care and attention to detail. It’s everything that Apple’s basic Podcast player is not. It’s well though out and has nice advanced features too if you need those. If you love podcasts and listen to many podcasts everyday then THIS IS THE player for you. Five stars.

This app does everything I want it to. It’s not cluttered up with the advertisement pushing product, etc. search feature is great when looking for new podcasts. This app just brings its lunchbox to work and gets down to business.

What happened to the Archive function? More recent versions seem not to allow archiving anymore. It’s annoying to be warned about tracking too many podcast episodes without being able to do anything about it except unsubscribe. Some podcasts have been around for more than 15 yrs. e.g. The Daily has a back catalogue of over 1,800 episodes. The Gist—over 2,000. The archive function used to let me limit these numbers. What can I do about this now?
