Having used both Garmin and Polar devices in my family I can say the Polar app has a much quicker response time. It’s much easier to flick between days to compare activity one day to the next. The Polar app and Polar watch are a brilliant set of tools for improving overall fitness and reaching your goals.

I wanted to use this app with my new Polar heart rate monitor, but I can’t easily create an account while following good password management practices. Not only does iOS not recognise the fields in the signup form as email and password fields, which means I can’t use Apple’s Hide My Email service or 1Password to set up an account, but the form won’t even allow me to paste manually. This isn’t acceptable in 2023.
