Going from an ICE to an EV is definitely a learning process and it’s nice to have an app that allows you to start up your car heat before you get into it, or unlock it from your phone. The process of setting up the app with my car and my phone took about 48 hours as we had to get the prior owner to release the vehicle VIN number to me. 

There are definitely some quirks, like things you can do from your phone and what you cannot do from your phone, as well as the integration of the paired key and the phone that work in consistently. Also, the charging data does not work seamlessly with various charging stations and you have to take some actions in the charging stations own apps and other others within the Polestar app. It’s a completely intuitive integration. Some things in one place other things in a different place.  But it’s a learning process all around and I assume that overtime these processes will become more clean.

The new temperature reading of the outside is very disappointing as it just uses the internet and not the sensors in the car. This is ridiculous and useless and a prime example of how Tesla is dominant in software.

App doesn't let me log in. When starting up the app on a new phone there is a constant loading animation as well as a error text saying "Sorry, this is taking longer than expected. We're working on it"
It's been 3 days now and nothing works and support can't help.

App is great. Does what I need it to do. But please, please! Get Digital Key to work! Apparently it broke on iOS 18. Please fix it. I recently bought my Polestar after iOS 18 rolled out, and it’s never worked.

It would be great if you could modify the charge limits using the app. So that it would override the existing setting in the vehicle. Many times, you realize the previous charge limit, may not be accurate and want to update it through the app. Thanks.

For some reason either car or app will not connect if you new phone. Deleted old profile and phone in car and app reinstalled app and I still can get app to connect with car. Oh it’s the weekend polestar support is out so GL trying to do this during a work week. Provably will not get another polestar from these

Polestar gets pretty close to a Tesla-like experience. Polestar really needs to add iOS widget support to allow iPhone users to be able to access and control things like locks and from from the lockscreen or home screen of their phone.

Polestar makes great cars but the software is terrible.
