This is so versatile and so much better than a standard metronome. An incredible learning tool!
This is a deep metronome app with comprehensive interface. Support is A1. Thanks
Basic features that should be part of a 20$ app are behind a paywall making this a 40+$ app. Save your money and get one of the many free metronomes on the App Store, unless you like paying money for a basic metronome.
I thought I would be able to make playlists etc. but the only real feature you get for $20 is the metronome.
This has been a great and helpful tool! The ability to alter rhythms and use different drum sounds makes this app a winner. I use it on a daily basis and would be hard pressed to find a better iPhone metronome. If you’re on the fence, go for it!
Use it everyday.
I love this app. I use it for everything. I've got my practice drills in a playlist and use them every day. I have gig set lists in playlists. (No more taping a set list to the floor.) I'm in the habit of noting who starts the song in the title of the preset so if we pull up a song we haven't played for a while I know who's doing the intro. (Especially if it's me!) I've set some songs to give me 8 bars of tempo then stop. That lets me set the tempo up front for the band but still lets the song breath. Where I need to drive the song and lock into the tempo I'll leave Polynome running throughout the song. Great app. Worth the price.
A lot to learn. A lot of control.
PolyNome has everything I need for my practice, and has found me expanding it further. I’m still only scratching the surface when it comes to programming polyrhythms, polymeters, and groupings, but it’s helping take the mystery out of it all. It’s very intuitive when it comes to writing out patterns, which has helped me to hear how certain notations sound when played. I feel like I’m making progress every time I use PolyNome.
