## PolyTune Description
It's the most powerful tool you've ever had in your pants! You know ... for tuning. That said, this is one of those nuggets on the App store you cannot afford to miss if you value being in tune and you take your smartphone with you when you go places. Yes to both? Then it's a no-brainer!

- Tune all strings at once! Just strum your guitar, and see the pitch of all strings instantly.
- Guitar/bass mode
- Drop-tunings
- 1:1 port of the award-winning PolyTune pedal (Guitar Player, Guitar World, Premier Guitar, MIPA, NAMM Best in Show 2010, etc.)
- Based one the world’s best selling pedal tuner used by countless pros such as Steve Vai, John Petrucci, Steve Morse, Orianthi and many more!

PolyTune is the world's first polyphonic tuner that will have future guitarists wondering how we ever got by without it.

The magic lies in a never before seen approach to tuning aimed at speed, accuracy and ease of use, which allows you to get in tune fast, and back to doing what you love: playing.

The PolyTune iPhone app is a 1:1 port of the award-winning PolyTune pedal tuner, and PolyTune for iPhone delivers exactly the same features and tuning technology as the pedal version. The pedal version is the fastest way to tune on-stage, whereas the iPhone app is the fastest and most convenient way to tune off-stage.

Specifications:
- Reference pitch from 435Hz to 445Hz
- Drop tuning from E-flat to B
- 0.5 cent accuracy
- 2 chromatic tuning modes: Needle and Stream
- MonoPoly recognizes whether one or several strings are played at once

## PolyTune Reviews in United States

### ***-- "Abandonware-ish"
Do not download. It hasn’t been updated or worked on a current iOS for quite some time.

2022 UPDATE: Still hasn’t been updated but PolyTune again works. Currently okay on iOS 15.5
-- pighuddle, 2022-05-29

### ****- "App freezes"
Really good tuner, but it has started freezing when awakening from auto-lock on iPhone. Only fix is to quit and restart app. Needs a fix.
-- Resosteve, 2022-02-04

### ***** "Just like my pedal!"
I love my PolyTune app! It’s like my PolyTune Noir but I can use it with my acoustic when I don’t have the pedalboard with me. I have it set to strobe for super accurate tuning and it doesn’t disappoint.

I have no idea how people are getting negative reviews going. When I tune, I set it on top of the acoustic so it’ll pick it up better. Try that out if it’s having trouble hearing you.

Mine also sees individual notes I’m tuning if I tune with a capo. I can’t do the all 6 at the sane time thing that way, but that’s only used as a spot-check after I’ve tuned. That means it’s basically still a regular tuner when you use alternate tunings. Not a big deal. If it still gives grief with capos or alternate tunings, maybe try setting it to the chromatic tuner setting? I’ve never had issues, but they built that into the settings for some reason or another.

### ****- "Please add buzz feiten tuning mode."
Overall I’m really happy with the app but because I use the buzz feiten tuning system I have to tune all the strings to E. The Korg tuner has the BF system integrated so you can tune the open strings and make a chord. I would also like to be able to incorporate custom tunings of my choosing. Also when i play a note I want, I would like to be able to set it as the default for that string even if it is not the exact standard frequency. For example, perhaps i want my A to be 443.2Hz instead if 440Hz. That does NOT mean I want all the other strings to move by the same percentage though. I want to pick each string. I would like this capability with the pedal tuner as well. First add BF tuning mode!!!

### *---- "PolyTune"
Needs updating, when launching, the app crashes.
-- daklepac, 2021-03-02

### *---- "Not like the PolyTune."
Screen doesn’t stay lit and doesn’t register for crap. I recommend the pedal but not the app. Waste of 5 dollars.
-- Frankv92, 2021-02-23

### *---- "No Longer Works"
App crashes on launch and is no longer usable. Do not buy.
-- DRock5k, 2021-02-20

### *---- "tc electronic? just pure trash."
I am not buying a single thing from tc electronic from now on. puking piece of shics.
-- drmhop, 2021-01-14

### *---- "Buyer Beware - instant crash, unable to open app"
App now instantly crashes when opened. No app update available.

I’ve owned the app for a few years so I suppose I got my money’s worth.

Time to buy a new $4.99 tuning app.
