Not useful for tax reporting

phillyrevive on

Doesn’t break out earnings by year nor valuation when coin earned. How am I to compute accurate earnings for tax purposes. IRS treats staking as earnings regardless if sold. Just like bank interest must pay tax on earnings. But with crypto need to know value of coin when received which fluctuates I though pool tools would track that. I can get my amount Ada earned in Daedalus. But I need this breakout of value at earn time.

Great App…

xfilefletch on

It’s a great little app, unfortunately only drawback and hence the 2 star rating is that if you need to reset/recover your password now you will have to send an Ada fee. Otherwise this would have have been a 5 star app for me.

SCAM!!!

Psh2 on

First; it requires a payment in crypto which bypasses Apple’s payment services in direct violation of Apple’s payment policies. Second; It doesn’t work. Third; There is no support for this app from the Author. APPLE SHOULD TAKE THIS SCAM APP DOWN IMMEDIATELY

Customer Service

Davidwh44 on

I cannot get in touch with customer service. I registered my wallet, which requires you transfer some crypto to “verify” you’re the owner. I did so. And nothing. I tried to login as an existing user and select “forgot password,” hoping that would at least get me past the “register” page, but it just asks me to transfer tokens over to “verify” again.

Ransomware

Used to be a good app. Now it demands ADA as payment to use it. Don't trust it. Find another.

Scam: App asks to send Ada by Jan 2022 to continue using service

Mobilesignal on

The Pooltool app says to verify your wallet address by creating an account AND sending them ADA from your own wallet by January 2022 in order to continue tracking your staking rewards. Any requirement of withdrawing funds from your own wallet is a scam. **The blockchain is a public ledger** so by definition there should be no valid reason why you should ever be forced to pay for this functionality to be verified by January 2022. How it works now can be how it works later on because it is a public ledger. That is where they muddy the waters in transparency because it confuses people on how this actually works. You are identifiable and lose some level of anonymity by confirming you own a walket address. If they needed a way to pay for services, be upfront and transparent in that regard. Why connect users to their wallet addresses? Otherwise there should be other options and choices for tracking rewards without giving up your privacy by confirming each and every single wallet address. For example, if someone has 20 wallets, then hypothetically, each wallet will be tagged on the public ledger if they send Ada from each of them just to track staking rewards. So the data points are out there connecting the user to tbe tool. Why is this necessary? It isn't and shouldn't be. This is taking advantage of the newness of Cardano since the tech is growing that other tracking options are limited at the moment. But if you look around, although the Pooltool app is getting comprehensive in features, it is not the only game in town.

Really? Scam Alert

CrushMode on

It asks for 1.925 ADA to “add an account” I do it, the app locks up, on restart it doesn’t have my account, wants another 1.925 to add my account, what a scam

Unable to create/add new account

ShadowRager on

Some good pool data, but limited in usability since I can't create/add a new account. After entering the account name and account address the timer/clock just simply spins.
