## Post Office EasyID Description
Your secure digital ID.

Prove and protect your identity with Post Office EasyID

EasyID from Post Office is the safe, convenient way to prove who you are – online and in person with thousands of UK businesses. It’s been certified to the UK Government’s Digital Identity and Attributes Trust Framework.

Post Office is already trusted by millions to help with their identity verification needs. Now we’re helping you do it digitally – quickly and securely.

When you need to prove your identity or age, your EasyID lets you share only the details you need to and nothing you don’t. Control of your data stays firmly in your hands.

With EasyID you can:

· Verify your identity with thousands of organisations – online and in person

· Prove your age online and in person (except for alcohol)

· Securely store and share staff ID cards, health test results and other details issued to you by third parties

· Log into online accounts with extra security

Create your EasyID in minutes

1. Add a phone number and create a 5-digit PIN to secure your account

2. Scan your face with your phone’s camera and we’ll verify you to protect your account

3. Add personal details to your EasyID easily by scanning a government-approved ID document (a passport, driving licence, PASS card or national ID cards from any of 200+ countries and territories)

You choose which details to share with businesses or individuals and when. We encourage businesses to only ask for the details they really need.

Keeping your details safe

You can count on Post Office to protect your personal details. We use identity experts Yoti to verify your identity and safely encrypt any details you add to your EasyID into unreadable data. They’re stored safely on your phone, where only you can unlock them using your PIN or fingerprint.

We can’t access your details or share them without your permission. We can’t mine or sell your data to third parties. Plus, we’ll never charge you to use EasyID. Instead, we charge businesses who use EasyID to verify your personal details.

## Post Office EasyID Reviews in United Kingdom

### ****- "Can’t use at Post Office?"
Odd that it can’t be used as ID to pick up a parcel. Also the contact developer link to Zendesk is defunct.
-- m2training, 2024-12-17

### ***-- "Limited Use"
The app supposedly supplies you with a digital ID card.

However the name recorded misses off part of my surname, this doesn’t seem to be of great use - and there is no way to amend the font to show the full name.
-- biblios, 2024-12-03

### ***** "Philip underwood"
It’s quick to bring up on phone works for me perfectly
-- Felipe underwood, 2024-11-23

### ***** "ID app"
Very cool and very nice.
-- Sawhny, 2024-11-15

### ****- "Mr Rob Forster"
Should be able to change the photo at a later date
The instructions should be audible as not everyone can read the instructions without glasses while trying to take the photo
-- rocklobster76, 2024-11-12

### ****- "Has potential"
Tried to collect a parcel that required a passport or driving licence and told that the app couldn't be accepted and this was at a post office! Other than that, easy to set up and use.

Update:
The Post Office branch were in an awkward position as the parcel was delivered by another courier and their system did not accept Easy ID.
Both the passport and driving licence can be viewed through the app so clarification is needed for the branches to improve usefulness.
-- ObiwansaiC, 2024-10-17

### ***** "Well pleased"
Top stuff excellent work done on this app
-- Sirrayt, 2024-07-12

### ***** "Post Office Easy ID"
Once you have all the documents needed, then you can have an ID Card. And with your identity in it.
-- $₱€¥, 2024-06-08

### ***** "Haque"
Very easy to use EasyID
Excellent!
-- ilovesenditgurl, 2024-05-30

### ***** "Really interesting service"
A little clunky at times, but good instructions. It takes a little longer than a few mins. But once done - it’s done. Useful.
