So I decided to get this card, when a friend invited me on holiday. I thought I would transfer the amount I wanted to spend each day on to it. Thereby helping me stick to a daily budget. However, on reflection I didn’t really experience any advantages over using my credit card. For example, when I ran out of my daily allowance. I just added more money to card via the app. The exchange rate was higher than, using a credit card. Not everyone would accept this card. Some “small establishments” refused. I haven’t yet managed to transfer my remaining balance back to my bank account. By the way, any money left on the card after your back home, incurs negative interest. I.e. The post office charge you to look after the money until it has gone. So, all in all for me. It worked out very expensive. However, if you are a frequent traveler in Europe, who has no financial constraints. It may be beneficial if you need to save your spending money to this card each month prior to your trips. At first, i thought this card would be safer, with only my daily spend on it and that my credit card etc. could be left in a safe place. However for me this was not the case. The app has been updated since my trip but, I still stand by my opinion.
