## Pothole Patrol Description
Pothole Patrol, one click away for you to successfully log a pothole for repair:
Discovery and Avis have partnered together with the City of Johannesburg and the JRA to fix potholes on the road. To accomplish this amazing mandate, an app has been developed which empowers road users to report pothole and save lives.
At a click of a button, the app allows road users to report potholes in their area. It is developed by Discovery and Avis to make the roads safer for all road users. The user-friendly features enable road users to take a picture of the pothole, record the location and notify the Pothole Patrol of potholes.
Application features:
Geo-location functionality
The app allows you to log a pothole using Google Maps to locate the exact position (street name and number) of the pothole.
Repair progress notification
The road user will be notified when the pothole is repaired in real-time.
List of potholes logged
Road users have site of all the potholes they have logged and the progress of which potholes are scheduled for repairs and those that have been repaired successfully.
User notes:
Simple registration process
All you need is a phone and internet connection to log the pothole.

## Pothole Patrol Reviews in South Africa

### *---- "The app doesn’t work"
It used to work a couple of months ago but now I can’t register/sign up. I’ve tried all the methods and nothings working
-- Bondos_b!, 2023-06-29

-- Farmboi_GP, 2022-03-16

### *---- "Empty promises"
Reported a pothole to test out this service.
Since doing so on the 24th October 2021 the very first pothole i reported remains unfixed and I’ve contacted the companies that run this app with no urgency to have this issue resolved. Don’t waste your time
-- shmuckerberg, 2022-02-27

### **--- "User"
Cool app but there’s no response on the turn around time of when the potholes will be fixed or any feedback after reporting potholes.
-- Webz001, 2022-02-11

### ****- "Vorster"
Convenient way of getting potholes on my daily routes maintained before it damages my vehicle. Updates are a great help in tracking the progress till completion. No lengthy calls needed. Well done team 👍🏼
-- TrayLee!!!, 2022-02-02

### *---- "Waste of time and effort"
Yet another App that promises much, and delivers nothing. So yay, you get a response and the odd update 4-5 weeks later. What’s different from JRA. They also give you a reference number and then do nothing.

I have yet to have a single pothole actually repaired - more than 10 WEEKS after they were logged.

What’s the point? Completely useless service.
-- BergieR, 2022-01-28
