## Power Rewards Description
Anyone with a Smart meter and an eligible Power Rewards account can enroll online. Orange Power is leveraging its AI-driven app, Power Rewards, to complete authorisation and onboarding. Users can download the app and get customised device control and meter reading.

In addition, Power Rewards will pay cash to help lower a peak during a demand response event and save on Grid investing in additional infrastructure. When a household’s energy saving earns revenue, it is logged into the app and cash is distributed to participants.

I use this app to monitor my power usage as it’s easier than the smart meter itself. But it’s now stopped working, not letting me log in, just says ‘somethings gone wrong’….annoying.

The company seem to have disappeared. They don’t reply to emails. Their address is only a pretend mail forwarding place. I have had £30 sitting in the app for over a year but it doesn’t work to pay out to me. Waste of time.

The first event we participated went absolute fine and I received the reward in a fairly short period. However, we were never paid for our second event despite using no power during that time. I tried emailing customer support who took over 3 months to reply to my email. The response was not helpful and my answer to the questions it asked still has not been responded to. Bit of a waste of time all in all.

### ***** "Basic functionality works. Amazon gifts for not turning your electricity on."
The basic premise of the app is to encourage people not to use electricity during surges of use. 

It’s pretty simple - don’t use the kettle or the washing, dish washing or tumble dryer for a couple of hours on a cold dark winters evening and get paid cash (in the form of Amazon gift cards)

Over the winter we earnt £36 with a few simple changes of behaviour. Very simple to sign in, get the time of the next event from an email and claim the cash.

That being said the app itself is atrocious. Completely unintuitive, the graphs are diabolical and make no sense, it’s impossible to work out when the events are except from the emails, the notifications are insanely hard to find and are sent with no relationship to the actual time of the event.

I hope next winter there is more money on offer - it will really help the uk grid to balance itself. The app developers could do with a complete change of management and interface design.

If I could give 0 stars I would. 
My smart meter was apparently down when I signed up to this app first and even though it is up and running for over 2.5 months now the app is still not working. Customer service is non-existent, I’ve send a lot of emails and only got one reply with instructions how to download the app. Appalling.

I haven’t had any sessions recently (winter is over, makes sense) but the ones I have done were so easy to join in with. I set up to participate automatically, so just had to pay attention to alerts letting me know when to reduce electricity consumption. 

I redeemed my balance today (May 2023) via Amazon giftcard, after suddenly recalling I had £15+ sitting in my PR account, and received it in my email straight away. 

Hopefully this scheme will continue, as it really does work.
