App doesn’t work unless you accept cookies.

The app crashes with an endless loading spinner unless you accept cookies and tracking. There is also no clear way to withdraw consent within the app. To add insult to injury, the website is broken on iPhone.

August issue

I pay yearly for Practical Classics . This morning I downloaded the August issue but this afternoon it won’t let me read the magazine it tells me to update the app - no idea how to do that !!???!!!???!!!

Poor.

Fraidnothappy on

This publication has been substantially ‘dumbed down’ since the 1990’s. For someone with a good knowledge of classic cars and mechanical repair/restoration it’s not worth reading. I signed up for a reduced price trial and they took a substantial payment for further issues beyond the trial less than half way through the trial period. Avoid!!!!

Shocking

This app must be the worst app I’ve ever used. My advice pay a bit more and get paper copies you’ll never read an issue via this because it won’t let you log in.... Absolute pants...

The Mortal car Mag

My monthly fix of cars that are not beyond my reach, beyond my capabilities - in most cases, but explained in straightforward terms.

The enthusiast’s choice

A1off on

Full of practical tips on buying and maintaining a classic, information about events, groups and professional support services, and brimming with the enthusiasm of a truly expert team, it’s a great read.

So you buy a digital issue online, on a laptop, but only later you discover that you can only read it on a phone or iPad. When you download this app you then find that, after setting up an account, it wants you to repurchase the edition you’ve already paid for as there’s no way to link the existing purchase to the account you’ve set up. A clunky, ill thought through and dated digital process.

I have been reading the magazine for years and it is always full of interesting articles and useful technical advise. I share the same view as most of the writers that you have to use your classic and enjoy it.
