Really great app, you can see different tutors, have a trial lesson and then add a subscription for that teacher. If you feel that you need to change, you can always book a trisl lesson with another professor and transfer your subscription to the new one. Teachers have reviews, description of themselves, a small video which I, personally find it very useful to take a glimpse of their vibe & attitude.
You have filters to look only for natives or only for people born in a specific country.
The app is telling you if the teacher is at high demand or not, meaning the teacher it’s pretty great I would say.
Trial lesson is as short as 25 mins. Give it a try and discuss with a tutor about what you need and check if you would like to work with them.
SCAM
Probably the reviews are from employees; with all the acquaintances I spoke to, they complained about this platform. Incorrectly, if teachers don't log in, you don't get your money back; if you invite someone and were supposed to receive $15, you don't get it because there's something small written down. WTF, it's 2024.
The app is terrible
I used the app for a few months last year and then stopped. The app is not user friendly, I encountered many bugs and I would always have issues connecting to the sessions even if both myself and my tutor had good internet connections.
Not only that, but the app is also very different than the desktop version, which just hinders the learning process for me (for example I cannot access my tutor’s classroom notes from the app).
I don’t recommend this app. Too bad for the tutors which are nice and professional!

If a tutor is missing you cannot get your money back. I feel scammed. No help was provided from the team regarding this problem. I do Not recommended
