Easily Create Detailed Maps of Off-Road, Off-the-Grid, Out-of-Range Outdoor Excursions. Users can quickly check Atmospheric Pressure to track Changes in the Weather. Reporting on Falling Air Pressures from the Field isn't just for TV Weather Forecasters anymore! Users can even use PressureGauge6's "Estimated Altitude" to detect changes in Ambient Air Pressure -> when Atmospheric Pressure changes, "Estimated Altitude" changes too. From a Fixed Position: if the "Estimated Altitude" goes Up - the Atmospheric Pressure is DECREASING. If the "Estimated Altitude" goes Down, the Atmospheric Pressure is INCREASING. **Sunny Warm Weather is associated with "HIGH Pressure", whereas Cold Cloudy Conditions & Storms are associated with "LOW Pressure" Sea-Level -> Low Altitude: 0 feet -> HIGH Atmospheric (Air) Pressure -> 760 Torr or 14.7 psi Mount Everest -> High Altitude: 29,032 feet -> LOW Atmospheric (Air) Pressure -> 235 Torr or 4.5 psi PressureGauge6 uses Atmospheric Pressure Measurements to Accurately Estimate Altitude, but Weather Systems cause Shifts in Air Pressure which Limits the Precision of these Estimates. **"Estimated Altitude" will Shift by as much as +-150 feet (45 meters) due to the Weather over the course of a Year. Pressure Changes Slowly...so Compare Samples taken over Short Time Spans (and Sample a Known Altitude whenever possible). Then Offset PressureGauge6 Values. [In Extreme Weather Regions such as Minnesota or Siberia, this Annual Fluctuation in Barometric Air Pressure may cause Shifts in "Estimated Altitude" of ~700 feet due to Storm Activity.....and up to ~4100 feet during World Record Breaking Hurricanes & Typhoons] The Best Known Method for producing High Quality & Accurate "Estimated Altitude" measurements using PressureGauge6: 1) SAVE Barometric Pressure Data Points on Typical Sunny Days in Good Weather....avoid High Pressure Heat Waves / Domes. 2) Sample Known Reference Altitudes 3) Subtract 2 Altitudes to Calculate Height. 4. Sample a Reference Location on Same Day PressureGauge6 enables Hikers / Bikers / Endurance Athletes & Mountain Climbers assess Elevation Gains & Distances Covered over Any Trail or Terrain Anywhere. PressureGauge6 is great for Hunters / Equestrians / Motocrossers / 4x4 Off Roaders / Anglers / Campers / & Outdoorsmen produce High Quality Maps of Trails / Fishing Holes / Camp Sites & anything else worth putting on a Map -> even recording Locations where Cellphone Signals are unavailable. Storm Chasers / Weather Watchers / & Fishermen can use the PressureGauge6 Barometer to Monitor Atmospheric Conditions when in Remote Environments. PressureGauge6 FEATURES: 1) GREY Data DESCRIPTION Field -> Enter TEXT to Label Sampled GPS (ie. street names) 2) "CLEAR" Button -> Delete the Current Description 3) "SAVE" Button -> Record Current Barometric Pressure Data / Estimated Altitude / Data Description / & GPS Coordinates w/ TimeStamp 4) "DATA" Button -> VIEW / CLEAR / or COPY Recorded Data Entries 5) "LOCATIONS" Button -> VIEW / CLEAR / or COPY Recorded GPS Coordinates 6) "MAP" Button -> Launch "GPS Favorites" -> Create Custom MAPs / Import & Export GPS Coordinates.
