Priceline FAQ
Is Priceline free?
Yes, Priceline is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Priceline legit?
⚠️ The Priceline app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
I always go to Priceline when booking. I love the app it’s easy to navigate and always gives me the best deals. When I call I have always gotten friendly and helpful service. My only problem is that the app will not change to Canadian currency. That really is a huge issue. Please consider changing this on the app! I know you can go to the website and get the can currency, but I’d rather use the app!
Changing us funds to cdn funds
I saw nowhere to change from US funds to CDN funds. I am in Canada and booking in Canada but get charged in US funds. Customer service no help at all. If I could give a -100% review I would. I would never ever use Priceline again and would not recommend it to anyone EVER!!!!!! Worst place to book. Don’t use Priceline especially if you are Canadian.
Please add non-USD Currency to the App
Decent little app with the functionality of the website and without having to login each time. However, a big negative is not being able to view or book properties in non-USD currency. All other travel booking apps offer this and even the Priceline website allows this. As a result, I mostly use this to log existing trip confirmations.
Price breaker
Whenever I use price breaker, I always get the lowest priced hotel.
Horrible Customer service and cannot change currency
If I could make this review a no star, I would’ve. I know this is terrible long but it’s worth reading, before to use this app. 100% NOT RECOMMENDED.
I tried out this app thinking it would be simple and easy. I hated that there was no option to change to USD to CAD but it’s fine, I still went along with it. I wish it would tell you when you make a booking, where it would be afterwords. I found out Priceline is a sister company to other sites such as booking.com or Agoda the hard way. I booked a accommodation for my parents for their anniversary, thinking the price is decent and the hotel is good.
That’s where the entire issue happens. NOT only did they not send me a booking confirmation for days… I had to call for 5 days straight prior to a day check-in just to get a booking confirmation so my parents wouldn’t be left stranded. Not only did each and every agent say something different but no one can guarantee me nothing. The worst part is when I tried to call once last time the day before check-in for my parents is the last agent who I don’t even recall his name but he told me a complete flip of an answer. All I asked was where is the payment going through from since I chose the option to pay prior to check-in since who carries that much money to spend directly for a hotel. This man is like, you pay AFTER your stay at the HOTEL. I’m baffled…How is it I went through almost 10 agents for this man to tell me a complete opposite and all of a sudden blame the hotel for that?(I even settled it with the hotel prior… yes I paid the international calling fee cause I was not messing around) In the end, I was like fine. If that’s how you decide to change whatever terms and conditions, I want a full refund so I can guarantee a hotel room since there was no guarantee they will bill me through credit and I would have to internationally call the hotel and discuss bank details which makes no sense to me. He called back within 10 minutes to tell me, the hotel agreed to a full refund without any fees BUT still get billed!? Please… Don’t bother using this if you don’t want stress and losing sleep over this. I went though hell trying to get a simple answer that no one could provide for me.
Great prices!
Love this app for travelling and finding good deals. Only downside is it’s in USD. Use the website for other currencies.
Use Expedia instead
Priceline do not have a very transparent refund policy.
Even though they say the hotel is fully refundable, but what they did is they affiliated with Booking.com, and when you are eligible for a refund and requesting it, they will transfer you to Booking.com. And then Booking.com will tell you it’s the Priceline who charged you, so they will transfer you back to Priceline.
Next thing you know is that you’re going back-and-forth for months without getting a result.
Eventually, I had to claim a chargeback from my credit card company for that refund. It took so much time.
I highly suggest you use Expedia instead as they have a much more transparent refund policy.
Canadian
Still after try to get thought many customers services this app won’t allow to see the prices in Canadian dollars totally useless, if you need to use Priceline use the web site there will allow you to see the prices in Canadian dollars. Incomprehensible the actitud of Priceline app
First time user, not impressed
I booked a hotel based on location and price of hotel. Unfortunately, location on map was no where remotely near, it is in fact over 2km further away from the beach. Contacted Priceline for assistance to correct this in some way, the said “ sorry, it’s non refundable cancellation “, no thing they can do.
I’m left with a $600+ bill I’m fighting with Visa on this inaccurate information sold to me.
Option to Delete Account doesn’t work!
Tried to delete my account by going through their data/account delete process. They confirmed by email that they had complete the elimination of the account. But my account still works! Come on Priceline. You can do better.
