For a while in the past, this app had consistent log in problems where you were made to enter your info over and over despite Face ID set up and working fine for every single other app on the iPhone. That improved a bit but now there are problems again - just now I got the error message "we are unable to display your account information at this time". Every other financial app on my iPhone, like Fidelity, Vanguard, Schwab, Chase, works fine without problems. It's always the Principal app that is the problem. I really wish my employer would use a different company like Fidelity for the 401k Update: back to log in problems again, with the error message "Uh oh Hmmm, that didn't seem to work. Please log in with your username and password to get your security up to date". Just last night I didn't get this error, I didn't change anything or do anything with my iPhone, I am using the same WiFi at home with Spectrum internet, and out of nowhere I get this error. Over and over again the Principal App has problems. I've looked at the screenshots of the error messages from the Principal App over the years and it's pretty crazy how often there are problems with basic issues like log in or displaying the account balance. I've never had any issues like this with the Fidelity or Schwab app in years. On top of this Principal has higher expenses for index funds vs Fidelity? I asked my employer to move away from Principal for our 401k in the past but I will really try again. -- Notbadgood, 2024-12-25 ### *---- "I have to keep signing in" Every time you open the app, you have to sign in. What’s the point in FaceID if it doesn’t even work? A person should be able to do whatever they want with the money they’ve been saving for years. It is very difficult to easily see how much exactly the value of an account has grown over time. It is even more difficult to easily determine how much individual investments in an account have grown over time. You should take notes from Fidelity’s mobile app. If I could have all my investments with them just for the purpose of ease of visualization of account and investment growth I would.
