## Private Pilot Test Prep Description
Sporty's Study Buddy prepares you for the FAA Private Pilot knowledge test (the "written") with three ways to study: Study Questions, Flashcards and Practice Tests. Questions are organized by knowledge area, with explanations of the right and wrong answers developed by Sporty's team of Master CFIs, based on their experience preparing students for the Private Pilot certificate.

• STUDY QUESTIONS BY TOPIC •

Choose whole knowledge areas or individual topics to build your own study session. As soon as you answer, you'll see the correct answer, why it's right, and where to read more. Change your answer anytime, bookmark questions as you go, and jump to any question from the question list. Every study session is shuffled.

• REVIEW WITH FLASHCARDS •

Flashcards show just the question, so you answer from memory before revealing the correct answer and its explanation. Mark each card Know It or Still Learning, then start a new session from the cards you're still learning. On iPhone Duo, study a card with the phone open and close it to check the answer.

• TAKE PRACTICE TESTS •

Each Practice Test draws 60 questions at random from the full question bank, gives you 2 hours, and is graded at the FAA's 70% passing score. Afterward, see your score by topic, review every question or only the ones you missed, and turn your misses into a new study session.

• PICK UP WHERE YOU LEFT OFF •

Sessions save as you go. The History tab lets you resume any session in progress and review past results, including your scores by topic.

• EVERY FIGURE, OFFLINE •

The Figures tab includes the complete FAA Airman Knowledge Testing Supplement, with every figure and legend listed by name and page. Swipe through the pages or open any one full screen. Questions show their figures right alongside, and you can study without a connection.

Designed for iPhone, iPhone Duo and iPad, with Dark Mode and support for larger text sizes.

The FAA does not publish its knowledge test questions, so the questions on your test won't necessarily appear in this app. Study Buddy is meant to complement your training, not to replace flight and ground instruction.

## Private Pilot Test Prep Reviews in United States

### ***** "got an 88% on my written"
i used sportys as my sole study guide and i passed with an 88%. sportys is basically an exact replica of the exact things you’ll be tested on by the faa. would recommend
-- Ezra_1, 2025-01-29

### *---- "Not like real exam"
Maybe 1 out of 10 questions relate to the FAA exam. I got a 75 on my real exam but was constantly getting 95-100 on sportys.
-- Rosepatiot, 2024-10-20

### ****- "NOT REAL TEST QUESTIONS"
I read some positive reviews here and saw YouTube videos mentioning that this was essentially similar to Sheppard air FAA test dumps. Took the written 10/2024 and I’d say only ~40% of the questions I saw were in this app. The app is great for studying and making sure you understand the format and how to solve the real questions, but DO NOT just memorize these answers because you will fail the written.
-- zdub2390, 2024-10-15

### *---- "Worthless"
I completed this app all 1000 questions took several test prep questions and feel confident to take the real exam how ever this app does not give you a endorsement. You have to purchase the full course on Sporty’s web page. If you purchase on the web page you don’t need this app. So the app is worthless and a waste of time. You will have to use this app, google and YouTube to fully understand it. Don’t bother with this app just get the actual course.
-- williamlohrman, 2024-04-02

### ***** "Excellent"
I pass with 87 nice tool
-- Urivallejopilot, 2024-01-17

### ***** "Amazing app for people with 0 knowledge."
I would give this app 6 stars if I could. I aced my written test and it was all thanks to this app alone. $15, but will be the foundation of all of your aviation careers.
-- okaychase, 2023-05-27

### ***** "Great but fix wordage"
Perfect app but the medical questions have wordage wrong. It’s not 5 years later…it’s 60 calendar months per FAR/AIM etc…that got me into trouble
-- xavclarke, 2023-01-27

### ***-- "Pretty good app except for the test mode (same questions)"
I am enjoying the app and the learning mode but I get a bit frustrated with the test mode where the 60 questions are always the same, just drawn in a different sequence at each new test.
It’s lame when there are more than 1,000 questions in the app.

Any way to fix this and have 60 questions randomly taken from all the database at each test session?
-- f.karov, 2022-09-22

### ****- "Passed my PAR exam with 93%"
I used the app a lot, along with their free test prep on their website. So some reason the app kept giving me repeat questions on the test. So I supplemented my studies with their website test and used the Gleim study book. Between those three sources I had a very well grounded study guide to accompany my online ground school from Jeppesen.
-- ricky128, 2022-06-29

### ***** "Nice"
Nice apps, using this easy app i finish my Written 90%
-- M.N.A.S, 2022-06-06
