Proloquo2Go AAC

Love using it, good for changing meal options and to keep track of sign language pictorials I’m using for him in one place.

Upgraded to version 3 the morning it was available and so impressed with it. Expressive voices really humanise the speech now, and the new Australian accents feel really good. Social media posting available directly from the app is great, no more copy and pasting around apps. Switch access will open this app to so many more people, thank you so much!!

We specifically bought an ipad so that we could access this programme, having seen it in use on TV. My wife has Motor Neurone Disease & cannot speak. Although she has a LiteWriter, we find this awkward & clumsy to use. The ipad is very light & the way that the different phrases are laid out is excellent. She can now come very close to speaking in real time in a conversation wihich is wonderful. Our heartfelt thanks to whoever devised this programme. We think it's worth every cent we paid for it.

This app is excellent but has one thing that prevents it from getting 5 stars for my situation. My non-verbal 5 yr old autistic child has problems with fine motor skills and unfortunately most times that he presses the buttons they start scrolling and as a consequence does not get selected. This is quite a major as he will get my finger to select what he wants or even worse - give up. On the positive this is really easy to configure; I have managed to cut it right down to only the things that are relevant to him at this early stage. The beauty is it is easy to add stuff back in again as he expands his vocal.

This has been really great for my non-verbal autistic son. Its top notch, very customizable to make it their own and very easy to use once learning how to set it up for your child’s success. My son loves it! I highly recommend watching some videos on YouTube to help you and your child find the best way to use this AAC app.

Best app

as somebody who uses AAC mostly full time I have been really enjoying proloquo2go. there are a lot of ways to personalize your AAC. this includes voices, display, layout, colors, what the app speaks to give some examples. it is very customizeable which i like a lot. there is also a history function and typing function which i really like a lot! that sort of leads to some of the issues i have. there is a big learning curve in navigation and learning how to customize things was very difficult and frustrating for me, even having prior experience with picture based apps. so i wouldn't reccomend to first time AAC users especially if you aren't full-time. the new voices update sounds weird too. there's a grating breathy quality to them that's been really bothering me and i think it ironically has made some of the voices less clear sounding. there's now weird blip sounds on some words/noises that are startling. for the most part though, really solid selection of voices. that's another thing i've really liked a lot. overall a very good AAC. i would reccommend something less complex to first time AAC users, but if you have more experience and want to upgrade to something more robust proloquo2go is a very good choice.

I can’t talk to my friends on this app but it’s work with phone calls and messager

The training videos are NOT matching up with what this program is doing on my iPad. I even had two “Apple Heads” try and help me, and they have no idea why this is not working. So, then I go to contact someone to walk me through this process, AND NO PHONE NUMBER IS AVAILABLE FOR ASSISTANCE!!!!!! This means I am going to have to email what the problem is without knowing what the problem is for me to then to have to email each step back and forth when I run into additional problem to wait for up to 3 DAYS for a response that could or could not work for me to have to send another email message to wait for another response. I wish I had never bought the iPad or this program! I am angry that there is no one to help me when I need help!!!!
