Amazing, but wireless monitor has issues
This app is incredible. It does everything Filmic Pro and DoubleTake do and more. I would give it 10 stars if the wireless monitor would work. In a high speed wireless network with both iPhone and iPad next to the router and next to each other, the camera keeps disconnecting from the monitor every 3s (not a typo) and there's no way to use the feature. Its a shame because that capability is a game changer.
Can’t contact support, Zhiyun gimbal doesn’t work
I bought an annual subscription in the hope of being able to use the focus peaking feature with my Zhiyun Smooth 5. However, despite the Bluetooth connection being successful (there is a selector to use Zhiyun accessory within the app) non of the gimbal controls appear to work while using the app. Support via email are not responsive. What am I supposed to do? Please respond.
One year on…
Well… one year on and I’m still really enjoying Protake. I recently dabbled with Mavis, Beast cam and even played with Filmic Pro again but always missed Protake. So I’ve now subscribed for another year and looking forward to more creating. If there was one thing I would request it would be to have a choice of which false colour I could use as the one Protake uses I’m not keen on. Keep up the great work!
Terrible buggy app
Recorded a 34min important video and showed it was recording, when I stopped no file had been saved. Waste of time and money.
Subscription
Remove the subscription and allow for a one time payment like filmic pro and moment
Help!
I used this app for the first time the other day and it was incredible. Now, after update the sound and video don’t sync up. How do I get assistance with this? There seems to be no one to contact. I have paid for a subscription too.
Please do a monitor app!!!
The only thing still binding me to Filmic is that I can use my older phone as a monitor on my vlogging rig while using the back cameras. Please, please, please do a similar app!
Amazing app. But......
This is an amazing app. I love the flat profiles to get a descent colour grade in post. I love the amazing options at my disposal. I love how I can use my own settings to capture my video. My only downfall with this app is that it claims to an app for professional videographers but it is very limited when it comes to using accessories. Most pros who use phones to video for vlogs, youtube, etc use accessories. Especially gimbles. And I would love to be able to see support for more gimbles, especially the DJI ones. This would, in my own opinion, then make it a true professional videographer app.
No that good app
The app is OK but not cost the subscription. In Pro version: No manual Focus, ISO controls does not change anything , digital noise in LOG C profile, the stabilisation is the joke. There is no difference between Filmic Pro and Protake app. At least Filmic pro does not have subscription. Do not waste your money!
