## Protege Mobile Description
The Protege Mobile App harnesses the power of the Protege WX and Protege GX systems, enabling you to monitor and control your building while on the go, with the ease and convenience of your smartphone.

With the swipe of a finger you can connect to any of your Protege WX or GX sites, check the status, arm or disarm, control lights, locks, signage, heating - even cameras - from anywhere, at any time.

View and control:

- Doors
- Areas
- Sensors (Inputs)
- Controls (Outputs)
- Cameras (select stream types)

Control the state of each with a simple click, or long press for advanced functions.

No more second guessing whether you set the alarm before you left the office -– the app provides instant awareness of system status, and enables you to arm or disarm with a simple tap. Fumbling for the garage remote becomes a thing of the past as you can use your phone to open the door. And forget about coming home to a cold, dark, unwelcoming apartment. A couple more taps and you have the heating and lights turned on, all from the comfort of your car.

Subscribe to push notifications to receive alerts of system or sensor activity. As a parent you get peace of mind to see the system disarmed when the kids return home from school. As a business owner, you see that the system is disarmed at the start of the day, and rearmed when everyone goes home. And of course, you’re alerted promptly of any alarms.
Push Notification service automatically configured in WX systems, for GX systems please see the Push Notification Service App note available at www.ict.co

Requires:

Protege WX Device with internet connection
or
Protege GX 4.2.181.10 or higher with:
- Web Client 1.44.0.17+
- SOAP Service 1.5.0.15+
- internet connection

## Protege Mobile Reviews in Canada

### **--- "Not ready for Prime Time"
UPDATE
Few updates, crude and basic. Some frustrating features and low security on the app itself. Too easy to hit a button, arm, disarm unlock, by accident.

Events are harder to get to and from and slow.

Great free push notifications! They just need more configuration and some removed.

I still don’t give this to most of my customers accordingly.

There is an amazing third party app for another alarm panel that is incredible and supported. Maybe ICT would be interested in a third party to develop their app or do they support third parties to develop their own app for WX/GX?

Lacking many security and config features. Attaching and connecting to controller requires an ICT account attached to the controller and credentials to the controller and IP and port forwarded port, make it one or the other. Can’t have multiple emails attached to controller, so restrictive. Push is un-configureable, on or off. Too many unnecessary and erroneous pushes. All users have Full Access to whole system, zones, outputs, areas and can manipulate at will with no credential check. Very easy to mess up with the app, so easy to touch something by accident and cause problems. I accidentally armed some areas while in the building, couldn’t disarm fast enough. An button may show one state on one screen and another state on another for the exact same thing (area, zone, output). I could go on....... I have only given it to one person of all much customers as it is going to cause problems and receive security. They aren’t updating much either. Hope they get on it as this is a toy app. I hate having to deflect from it. One of the weakest features of ICT.

### *---- "Video stopped working after updating iOS"
Worst app ever.

### *---- "This app triggers my Apple Pay"
Instead of unlocking my lobby door access, it opens my Apple Pay. Frustrating!
-- Randy Or, 2020-11-01

### *---- "Garb ap"
Just straight up Garb, I have had issues where I can’t even type my password and then I can’t log in. Then it says my password is wrong. Just issue after issue.

### ***-- "Good for starting"
Started using it. All seems to work well. But since apple last 2 upgrades, no mor push notifications! Removed app and reinstalled it and still no push notifications. Would also be nice to see sms and email notifications. I know this app has potential it jus needs a good push forward! Cheers!
