In my opinion, using iCloud for backup goes against your values.   Why can’t we use Proton Drive ?

Test après import depuis enté Auth ou lastpass. Les codes affichés sont inutilisables, il faut attendre un refresh car celui affiché n’est pas fonctionnel et le suivant n’est pas le suivant pré affiché. Il faut quitter l’application et revenir pour voir le bon affiché. A ne plus rien y comprendre.

### ***** "Satisfait et Adopté !"
Dans mon processus de dégooglelisation, j'étais passé de Google Authentificator à Authy, un peu par dépit. Ça marchait bien mais mon ressenti était moyen et l'abandon de la plateforme PC, m'a fortement frustré...
Ayant un compte Proton Unlimited, l'arrivée de ce service était une opportunité pour moi de quitter enfin Authy pour un service en qui j'ai bien plus confiance.
La transition depuis Authy n'est pas simple, mais ça c'est surtout de la faute de Authy.
Hormis quelques bugs de connexions au lancement, très vite corrigés, je suis très satisfait de mon changement. 
Une application sur chaque plateforme (PC inclu) et la synchronisation entre chacune d'entre elles. La possibilité de voir le code suivant. La présentation très agréable. Il ne manque plus qu'une synchronisation entre Proton Pass et Proton Authentificator, et peut être la possibilité de faire des groupes pour trier les entrées.
Ravi de voir que Proton ajoute régulièrement de nouveaux services très utiles.

The app is well designed and offers a good alternative to Google Auth. The app let’s reorder your codes with a simple drag and drop action. However the reorder is not saved : when you relaunch the app you often get a different order. There was also a previous issue on codes not updated when a filter was applied but it has been fixed in the last update, thank you!Please fix the order keeping issue 🙏

J’ai pris l’app sur iOS, macOS, et Windows. 
Sur macOS et Windows j’ai pu me connecter à mon compte Proton pour synchroniser. Sur iOS non. Je me connecte, je récupère le code à 6 chiffres pour m’authentifier, et l’app retourne à l’écran de saisie identifiant et mot de passe. 
Si je me trompe dans le code à 6 chiffres en revanche, l’app me dit bien que ce code est faux.

J’utilise un abonnement Proton Duo et je continue à faire ma double authentification via Proton Pass, qui a une fonction Authenticator intégrée. L’arrivée d’une vraie application dédiée est une excellente nouvelle — je l’attendais depuis longtemps.

Mais je ne comprends pas pourquoi les sauvegardes se font via iCloud sur iOS. Si j’ai quitté Google et migré chez Proton, c’est justement pour éviter que mes données soient hébergées ailleurs. Pourquoi ne pas proposer une synchronisation chiffrée avec mon compte Proton, comme sur Proton Drive ou Proton Pass ?

Utiliser iCloud par défaut (ou comme seule option visible) va à l’encontre de la philosophie Proton : la confidentialité doit rester entre mes mains. Si je choisis Proton, c’est pour leur sécurité, pas pour que mes codes 2FA se retrouvent chez Apple.

Je recommande :
	•	Une option claire pour synchroniser uniquement via mon compte Proton.
	•	Un choix explicite dans les paramètres de l’app, pas une synchronisation iCloud implicite.

Je garde 3 étoiles et continue d’utiliser Proton Pass pour mes 2FA en attendant une vraie synchro 100% Proton comme sur les autres apps.

### ***** "Très bonne application d’authentification multiplateformes"
Je cherchais une application d’authentification sécurisée et respectueuse de la vie privée et je l’ai enfin trouvée pour changer des autres plus connues et moins respectueuses de la vie privée.

Multiplateformes elle me permet d’être utilisée sur tout mes appareils ce qui est pratique au quotidien.

Très facile à prendre en main, elle permet également de migrer ses authentifications d’autres plateformes compatibles avec l’exportation, ce qui est un vrais gain de temps pour la migration.

En sommes je suis très content de l’application.

application simple d utilisation avec un début de 2FA. Un manque pour une utilisation password less serait un plus comme le présage les concurrents. 
Heureux toutefois de migrer vers un système plus souverain.

Clean and privacy-focused, Proton Authenticator is a solid start. But it’s missing one crucial option: setting a separate app passcode when Face ID fails. Relying on the device code alone reduces security. 

Also, folders for organizing accounts (like in 2FAS Auth) would be a helpful addition.

L’activation de la synchro sur plusieurs appareils ne fonctionne pas. Si vous le faites sur 1 appareil, pas possible sur d’autres. Ensuite si vous avez un code à 6 chiffres pour vous connecter à votre compte proton  (code obtenu sur Microsoft Authenticator par exemple) et que vous revenez sur l’application proton pour tenter ce code alors elle vous renvoie à la page de démarrage et ne reste pas sur la page pour rentrer votre code à 6 chiffres. Bref si vous avez Microsoft Authenticator alors restez dessus. Proton Authenticator ne semble pas finalisee ou a été lancée sans test poussé.

### ***** "Remplace parfaitement Google Authenticator"
Cet authentificateur Proton remplace sans problème les autres applications 2FA : je souhaitais depuis quelques temps partir de chez Google mais je ne trouvais pas d’alternatives crédibles ou de confiance sur iOS. Utilisant plusieurs services Proton depuis quelques mois maintenant (Proton Mail/VPN/Drive/Pass), j’ai sauté sur l’occasion pour transférer tous mes codes vers Proton Authenticator, le transfère de code se fait très facilement entre votre ancienne application et celle-ci. :)
