• Your inbox is yours — We don’t spy on your communications to show you targeted ads. Your inbox, your rules.

Industry Leading Security Features
Messages are stored on Proton Mail servers using end-to-end encryption at all times and are transmitted securely between Proton servers and user devices. This largely eliminates the risk of message interception.
Zero Access to Your Email Content
Proton Mail's zero access architecture means that your data is encrypted in a way that makes it inaccessible to us. Data is encrypted on the client side using an encryption key that Proton does not have access to. This means we don't have the technical ability to decrypt your messages.
Open-Source Cryptography
Proton Mail's open-source software has been thoroughly vetted by security experts from around the world to ensure the highest levels of protection. Proton Mail only uses secure implementations of AES, RSA, along with OpenPGP, while all of the cryptographic libraries used are open source. By using open-source libraries, Proton Mail can guarantee that the encryption algorithms used do not have clandestinely built-in back doors.
Proton Mail in the press:
“Proton Mail is a Gmail-like email system which uses end-to-end encryption, making it impossible for outside parties to monitor.” Forbes
“A new email service being developed by a group who met at MIT and CERN promises to bring secure, encrypted email to the masses and keep sensitive information away from prying eyes.” Huffington Post

Proton Mail Reviews

Лучшая почта для любого пользователя

Pavel1001 on

Blocked in Russia

Лассекаль -59- on

Kazakhstan

Some operators in Russia completely block Proton and its servers so that email delivery and VPN do not work. I am sure it is possible to solve the problem by paying more attention to this issue, as the Telegram team once did. Since Proton services are focused on protecting human rights to privacy, blocking for them, I believe, is a typical scenario. I hope that the Proton team will be able to pay more attention to this problem.

1. Additional space on iPad is not utilized at all. Full screen content view without column of items on the left side. This is pretty much a standard now 2. Swipe to delete or archive.. Where is mark as read?

Touch ID doesn’t work. Inbox messages duplicate every time you receive and read message.

Automation of simple tasks via an email server is one way to create waste capitalization gains. It also leads to security issues that can’t be enumerated given the nature of human led conflicts. Proton has a suite of options for many aspects of cyber security but I find that a secure system in tandem with transparency and no fault nullifications of minor disputes leads to a better overall system of self governance. Proton has always been there for me to learn from and do better with their open source approach. I want to thank Proton for leading my cyber studies in a positive and beneficial way given the nature of cyber. Happy holidays from Buddha. Now get back to work!

Won't forward any mail

Sam the Butchers on

Got the notifications that Gmail and Yahoo mail synced and that did. It just won't forward any new mail. Did the rest when opening the app from the settings menu. Wanted to like the app and pay for it but I'll look elsewhere for now.
