### ***** "PSECU, Better Than Banks"
We’ve belonged to PSECU since 1986 and have only good things to say about our experience. Unlike banks which charge fees for everything, PSECU is a free banking service for members—free checking, free bill pay, excellent online banking services with no fees, and no minimum balance requirements other than the $5 fee to keep accounts open. Despite the lack of bank “offices” with tellers, many different ATM machines across the state offer free withdrawals to PSECU members. Mobile online banking has made the need for brick and mortar offices unnecessary and PSECU will even automatically reimburse its members the withdrawal fees charged by private bank ATMs if using one is necessary.
The personnel manning telephone banking at PSECU are friendly and always willing to help with any question or transaction. Charges for customer banking errors (like a returned check
for insufficient funds) 
are reasonable, and they will often wave the fee if there is a reasonable explanation. Moreover there is free overdraft protection if you authorize it. Their fraud detection department is outstanding. They will call to verify questionable transactions and reimburse fraudulent charges. In addition, PSECU’s Visa credit card has a high credit limit and very low interest rates compared to private banking services. And other PSECU loan services (auto, personal, home equity, mortgages) are easy to apply for online, the interest rates are more than competitive, and the terms are very simple to understand. 
PSECU is superior to banks in all ways and should be the choice for anyone in PA who is a state employee, affiliated with business partners of PSECU, or related to a PSECU member.

If you get paper checks, seriously, DO NOT deposit them here. It will take so long to hit your account that you’ll have multiple late fees by the time you can access it. I dealt with it, now my fiancée is dealing with the same thing and it’s completely ruining our financial stability.
