## PSTAR Description
Authorized by Transport Canada.

Want to prepare for the PSTAR and stay on top of all the rules and regulations?

Top 7 Reasons Why Pilots in Canada Use this App:

1. A Convenient and Efficient Way to Study for the PSTAR

The PSTAR (Pre-Solo Test of Air Regulations) is an exam you will need to pass prior to flying solo for the first time. This App presents a convenient and efficient way to prepare.

2. Stay Current on the Regulations

As a Canadian pilot, you'll need to stay on top of the CARs. This App notes all the CARs/AIM references for each question if you feel the need to cross-reference and check.

3. Prepare for the Air Law Section on your PPL Exam

The Transport Canada PPL exam has 4 sections:
i. Air Law
ii. Meteorology
iii. Navigation and
iv. Aeronautics - General Knowledge.

This PSTAR App helps you study for the Air Law portion for your PPL exam.

4. Each Question has Feedback and Tips

Tap each question page as you prep and get feedback for each question and a study tip! This helps you get the knowledge and understanding (and CARs/AIM reference) to help you learn, not just memorize the answers.

5. Study by Topic or Take a Practice Test

Need to study? Choose from one of the actual 14 Topics as provided by Transport Canada. Ready to see where you stand? Try a Practice Test and see if you get the 90% or greater that's required to pass this exam.

6. Don't Complicate Things - A Simple and Straight-Forward Approach

This App contains the exact 189 questions as provided by Transport Canada and we have authorization to use these exact questions. You'll see by our screenshots that we care about every little detail and have tried to make this process simple and straight forward.

7. Review Each Question

We don't want to overcomplicate the process, but getting a chance to review your questions after the practice exam seems to help students learn efficiently and quickly.

## PSTAR Reviews in Canada

### ***** "Must download for student pilots"
This app is the best. I’m starting my PPL and this app has made studying for my Pstar and Roc-a so easy.
-- Felix wz, 2025-02-15

### **--- "Requires an account, ok but…"
My current Hangaaar account does not work! Makes no sense.
This app is basically a web browser. Sorry to say but it needs more work to be an actual useful app.
-- oooKDooo, 2022-06-07

### **--- "Adequate, but not great"
I was under the impression that the PSTAR quizzes are inside the app, but it just launches a browser (kinda defeats the purpose of an app…). Nice of the developers to offer the flash cards for free though, as per other reviews, you do have to make an account
-- yanr163, 2021-12-06

### *---- "Stop asking for accounts."
For some reason this free app is asking for registration with your email. No I’m not giving you my email. I uninstalled before getting to the first question.
-- RiderFan09, 2021-06-14

### ***** "Amazing amazing"
This app is just brilliant it’s amazing.. I just used this app for my PSTAR AND I got 100% correct.

Thanks again for the help.. I’m downloading the CHPL as well hope I get the same score again ☺️
-- Ranj Kurdistan, 2020-08-25

### *---- "Ruined a perfectly good app"
Decided to review PSTAR content about 6 months after I initially studied/wrote it. Very disappointed to see that what was a perfectly functional and helpful app has since been ruined and is now borderline unusable. Why am I being prompted to purchase “FREE PSTAR” material? Doesn’t sound so free to me. Please bring back the old style where you could study specific sections or be quizzed at random. Very disappointing.

Additionally, since changing their app they now require a login and have been spamming my email with “tips” that I never asked for.
-- Malcolm1995, 2020-03-21

### ***** "Thank you"
Got me 100% on my Pstar :))) and my buddies used it too and got high 90s
-- Mxracer01, 2019-11-25

### **--- "duplicated answers"
Duplicated answers and some of them are wrong. Reindeer question should be no less than 2000 FT AGL but the answers listed have 2 1500 FT
-- Kylelein, 2019-11-15

### ****- "Helpful but missing questions"
Has well enough to pass but for example is missing the heliport question.
-- hfiekkdkd, 2019-06-20

### ***** "PSTAR"
Great app!!! Very helpful, easy to use, without any problem!!!
I got 100% on my PSTAR test!!!
Thank you very much!!!
