I decided that I wanted to do something that was a cheaper monthly and be low impact that would help my body function better. This workout checks both boxes. The app is one of the best workout apps I have ever found. It improves its functionality each week. I appreciate the effort they make to make the app easier to use. Everything about Pvolve -- the equipment, the workouts, the app -- makes me happy. The one *teeny* suggestion I have is that when selecting favorite workouts it would so great to have tags to further organize them by duration of workout, body focus, etc. But with or without that, don't hesitate! I love the no equipment workouts and the series workouts for when I’m home. The instructors’ verbal cues are technical, educational, and really help build a strong/safe foundation not just for my workouts but for my physically demanding job, too. Four stars because equipment for startup is really pricey and the Apple TV app is a little glitchy. Otherwise would give it 5 stars. I started Pvolve about two months ago and love it! I have been using my own resistance bands and other equipment as I didn’t want to invest in theirs until I knew if it would stick. And the combination of strength with functional fitness is really making a difference already. I knocked off one star because: A) the app doesn’t have the capability to create your own stack, which most fitness apps do nowadays. It apparently can add to your iCalendar, but you have to connect it and it should be integrated within the app itself. B) The music player doesn’t work if you AirPlay to your TV, so I have to play something on a different device. And C) I wish it would automatically launch on my Apple Watch. The fact that functional mobility is built into routines is beautiful; I hated doing workouts and then having to do separate exercises to keep myself stable and balanced for the future. It ate up too much time. Having loads of options for putting my body into Rest and Digest state post workout is everything cuz I live with chronic pain, which means I have to trigger my brain to tell my body not to stay in a stressed state. The science-backed workouts work for me so I am seeing results while tamping down chronic pain flare ups. In spite of absolute love for the workouts and the approach, the IT department is terrible. For example, my account showed 3 of the same videos in the series I was working through, 2 extra copies in the feed next to the original and 1 copy replacing a different workout. This meant to finish the series I didn’t have access to 1 video at all and had to play 2 copies of a video I’d already completed in order to get credit and leave the series. After filing a report I received a polite response that IT would fix the issue, but all that happened was the videos changed order. No access to the missing video and none of the extras disappeared. I reported again and nothing happened. The series still appears incorrectly months later. The screen for billing doesn’t work. When I wanted to change my credit card there was no simple edit button. I had to send a special email request, received a reply with a link that didn’t work, wrote another email, received a different link, and when clicking to pay the page reloads and empties the fields. I’ve communicated this with no response, so my payments won’t go through. 3 months later I’ve received a “we want you back” email discount. I signed back up since nothing else worked, but now none of my account info like favorited workouts, which I used daily, exists on my phone, and the stats appear on my computer, but they don’t match the accurate stats on my IPad, with workouts higher and hours lower.??? I highly recommend the workouts, but the app has many issues and IT has yet to fix any of the multiple issues I’ve reported. -- sushera, 2024-10-28 ### **--- "Please offer a family plan model" I’m enjoying these workouts. I was interrupted halfway through. I came back and finished workout, but it wasn’t recorded. Apparently, if you restart a completed workout later, the app will no longer mark it as completed. Ridiculous not to expect people to repeat workouts they really like. Bug: If the app doesn’t accurately record workouts, please give us the ability to correct our data. Tracking what accurately is what matters to me. YouTube provides analytic data of video watched by minute. The laziness in data capture and logic for completing workouts is sad. Date, workout number, minutes per day, and slightly complex logic is a pretty low bar for tracking data.
