I’m amazed how good this is. Got my favourite Python graphical App working in no time. Matplotlib is highly functional.

So far so good. I enjoy programming in this app. However, when using a keyboard there is a bar with special characters that covers the console input bar and I can’t see what I’m typing! It can be hided but it reappears as soon as hit the next key. Please correct this as it reduces considerably the flow of productivity. Thanks.

When typing in the console with a hardware keyboard, a softkey bar appears with special characters which covers the entire input line, obscuring the command I'm typing. I can hide it by tapping on it, but on the next keystroke it reappears. Incredibly irritating from a relatively steeply priced app. Also, there is no Pandas installed. Trying to install it via StaSh and pip runs into the issue that the pre-installed NumPy (1.8.0) is too old for Pandas. Please give us a way to update packages. I should have seen that the last update to this app was made over a year ago—I regret buying it now. Pythonista 2 worked slightly better.

Between the inability to use a wide range of modules, no easy way to import those modules in the first place, barely any support or updates to add or fix modules, and elsewise, it’s not worth it. I want a refund.

Complete Python software development environment for creating Python scripts for iPhones and iPads. Requires basic understanding and knowledge of computer programming. It doesn’t cost anything except your time, and a modicum of patience acquainting yourself with its user interface.

Thank you Ole Moritz for creating Pythonista with its many standout IDE features. I have created an application launcher for my iPhone using the Pythonista app and HTML. The main page of my launcher has animated GIF buttons plus emojis to launch favorite apps. An alphabet search is displayed at bottom of main page to launch lesser used apps. The wrench dialogue of Pythonista is used to startup my launcher by running the python script that selects my launcher HTML file and passes it to the built-in Webbrowser of Pythonista for display on iPhone. Multiple web apps can be started in unique tabs but only one tab window can be active at a time. My launcher will remain active until a different web app is activated by pressing its tab ID. Switching between different tab apps is a unique and magical feature of Pythonista. FIVE STARS

Worth every penny!

Was super excited to learn Python and read that Pythonista was the best for iPad Pro and iPhone. Unfortunately, what I didn’t know at the time was it’s a hackers paradise and can be easily used to steal your information or implant spyware. The library allows for “built-ins” or modules which can easily be configured without the primary user and device owner’s knowledge. It wouldn’t be such a big deal if you could simply delete the files…spoiler alert: you cannot delete files which have been locked by the unauthorized user. Therefore, I’m giving this app which has an excellent UI among things a 1 star review because thanks to its poor security features I now have an entire library of spyware on all of my Apple devices.
