Pyto IDE

I bought Pyto, full version, for €0.00 in 2019 and used it for years without any problems. This year, for health reasons, I did not use it. I just tried to use it again but the app gives me a screen asking me to either buy, try three days for free, or do a restore. So I choose restore and nothing happens. If I restart Pyto, this screen no longer appears and I see all my scripts but the run button does not execute anything. An idea?

Pyto could be a very good replacement for Pythonista, which seems to have its development stalled. However, while Pyto adopts some newer functionalities in iOS (widgets, good support for shortcuts, etc), the app itself is still very rough around the edges and still has quite a way to go before it reaches the level of maturity and user friendliness of Pythonista. Looking at the version history, I’m surprised it’s already at version 13 (but that in itself doesn’t say much, of course). There are some very interesting ideas and concepts, showing a lot of promise. It’s a shame I can only do the trial once, because as it stands now, the app (at least for me personally) isn’t worth the asking price at the moment, due to number of bugs and UI issues still present.

The app seems good enough. My only thing is that it has not given me the option to cancel the free trial in the app nor on my iPhone settings, so just beware of that.

u can download the app for free, but once u open it u have to pay.

It seems impossible to cancel the trial subscription. The developer says use email to contact her, but the email is blocked. Also, the trial does not appear on my Apple subscriptions. I even tried to contact the developer via X. I contacted Apple support. They say this is highly unusual. They’re keeping an eye on this app/developer. Any charges they make will be reversed. I advise you to not subscribe to this app.

I think its a great app, love having python so easily accessible…. But for the same sub price I can buy Replit and have python and then some. No more bloody subscriptions.

I bought the full version of this app and now it’s telling me to register for a 3 day trial in which I have to purchase something again. This is terrible and I want my money back for buying it the first time because now I cannot use the app I paid for.

I keep needing to use a script I have on my phone, but randomly some days the paywall screen still pops up (I purchased the full version more than two years ago). On those days, none of the scripts run. It’s not errors; nothing happens when I hit the run button. Please fix, this is unacceptably unreliable.
