Pyto IDE Reviews

Doesn't work matplotlib, turtle, and, none graphic library

oscampo on

Colombia

Pyto has a wide collection of pure PyPI modules and also has a very interesting precompiled libraries (NumPy, scipy, ...) but the libraries with graphical output (plot, mat plot, etc) don't work

NO. All of these resources are repackaged FREE resources, created by the dev community

Skip my misadventure of downloading 5 of these useless “IDE”s, and just get the Replit app, which has all of the NORMAL functionality you would expect from an IDE, like being able to ~log in~ with GitHub, THEN has additional functionalities that are worth paying premium for, rather than being expected to pay Premium for being “allowed” to access a free, industry-standard, community-developed resource?!?! Like you’re going to catch most of us paying to be “allowed” to access a terminal, a technology that is so old it wouldn’t even be covered by patent anymore, just so we can import our AR, VR, AI, and eye tracking libraries for apps we’re making for devices that these capabilities are now becoming the standard for. The same devices that we can code on faster than a PC just using thumb swiping and predictive text, without getting carpal tunnel, let alone once that is paired with device standard AI that has hours of personalization training every day learning our individual behaviors on those devices to make these types of tasks second natur Ya’ll need to get so FFR right now. This business model is over.

Froze my iPhone - don’t download!

After installing the app and trying it out for an hour my phone froze up and I had to hard reboot it. I saw another review of someone saying the same thing so it’s not just me. Also you can’t install most Python packages since they are blocked by Apple so this is only useful for basic Python scripts.

They tricked me

It says the app is free, but the only thing that’s free is a 3 day trial. After that, it costs money.😡

Buggy to the point of uselessness

Annoyed I sprung for the full version. It would be a great app if it actually worked. Main issues were: navigating the text editor with arrow keys doesn't work at all. Environment gets borked after a few runs from different directories. Issues finding modules in a package that were previously in use.

Best python ide for apple. Works with iPad,iPhone and Mac

Now can run python scripts from all Apple devices. Works great. Better than any other python IDE’s I’ve tried. Amazing!

Thought it was free?

I was searching for a app like this with ai and was told that this app was free it isn’t? I asked why it says I need a trial and the response was. “I apologize for the confusion. It seems there may be a trial version available that requires a purchase, but the basic functionality of Pyto should still be free to use. I recommend checking the app store or contacting the developer for more information on the pricing options.”

Unstable

App will constantly freeze up, crash, then delete your last 5 minutes of work. Don’t bother trying to use multitasking, nothing is saved, the stop button at times is unresponsive, and while deleting if you spam the key a few times and end up going to the line above it tends (not always) to crash, holding the button instead hasn’t had this issue… yet. When it works though it’s great, I wouldn’t even mind the occasional crashing if I didn’t lose my data. Maybe make auto save more aggressive or let me save manually. Until then this is a cool tool for small scripts, but anything big is gonna give you a headache

Scammy practice

I purchased the app before. When I try to use it, it asks me for the purchase again! Very scammy practice
