By adding their car registration in the app, Season Ticket holders at PaSS car parks will be able to enter and exit by having their number plate scanned at the barrier. PaSS is only live at selected Q-Park car parks.
It is important that you create your MyQ-Park account before registering on the app or your Season Ticket will not link correctly with your vehicles car registration and you will not be able to enter and exit the car park using your number plate.
How to register your number plate
1. Activate your My Q-Park Account on the Q-Park website. When you purchased your Season Ticket, you will have received an email prompting you to activate your account
2. Download the Q-Park app
3. Login using your My Q-Park Account Email and Password
4. Enter your car registration
After completing the above steps, the barrier will automatically open when you drive in or out of your home car park. The Q-Park app has been developed to further enhance the parking experience for our Season Ticket holders.

Really poor
Poor to configure and setup, poor to operate and frequently doesn’t connect, complains there is no internet access when the phone does.
The number plate recognition works gets you into the car park in your car, but without access on the app you can’t get back into the car park again using the QR code.
The credit card setup doesn’t work in app, have to open into Safari. Why can’t it use Apple Pay for simplicity? And who designed it so the app and website details don’t sync. Crazy.
Easy and efficient
Used the app and number recognition to park last weekend. Everything went very smoothly and it was much better than pre-booking and guessing how much time you needed.
Great system and so easy!
Picking daughter up from Birmingham New Street Station is a nightmare (and expensive) so hubby suggested parking at The Mailbox and walking up to meet her. What a great suggestion from him. I already had the Q-Park app from previous longer stays (theatre, shopping etc) but never for a quick, short stay. It was so easy. On driving up to the barrier, your registration is recognised straight away and in you go, almost without needing to stop. Found a parking space very quickly and went to meet daughter. On exiting the car park, drive to the barrier and up it goes automatically and out you go. It’s all charged automatically to your registered card. If there is a problem with your card, you are notified straight away to correct the issue. All in all a great advice and will definitely be using it again. No more messing with tickets and pay machines for me!
Sometimes it works
Mostly, it doesn’t. And the car park I use usually only have one exit open. So a big queue forms behind you while you try to talk to the person who can help, but they rarely understand what is going on. Today (aka, the last straw) the app showed that I had entered, but wouldn’t let me out. It neither read my number plate or my QR code on the app. Then it charged me £7.50 but alas, still didn’t open the barrier. Bye bye QPark app, you will not be missed.
Awful!
Session doesn’t end when exiting the car park, still counting down on my app and continuing to charge me!
Very poor user experience
Can’t log in to the app just get into a loop where app says email not validated and sends a validation email but when I click to validate tells me to log in then says email hasn’t been validated. Think I’ll delete the app and avoid your car parks if you can’t even get this right!!
Problems leaving
Barrier raised on arriving but didn’t raise on leaving which defeats the object really. Access app via phone & required QR code to use to raise barrier, if that was because of first use I don’t know, perhaps an instant message to warn might have helped, but I was stuck at barrier until I worked it out, so not the best experience?
Shame it doesn’t automatically give cheapest deal
App downloaded and worked seamlessly as advertised when using the car park. Just a shame it doesn’t work out and charge the cheapest deal for you when you leave like TFL does when using the tube in London. Pre booked parking overnight using the website would have been £8.40 but turn up charges were £11.40 for approximately 4 hours that were within the £8.40 deal timings. If the app did that for you then the app and Q-Park would have 5 stars.
Sheffield Train Station
Registered with Q.Parking, first time using it and it was faultless, in and out easy, reading my number plate, glad I downloaded it, first class
Worked Great
Found the App very good. ANPR worked and welcomed me to the car park. No queuing and faffing at a ticket machine - drove straight out - perfect
