Some get items and money from managing a town. But why not both?! Create a party of characters with different Classes, like Knight or Beast Tamer. Have pet monsters fight alongside. Choose your weapons and armor based on the elemental affinity of your foes to hit hard while taking less damage yourself. You can do it all in style, as there are lots of outfits for you to choose. Kairosoft’s excellent game recipe often benefits from their willingness to experiment and improve, but their free-to-play games are hit-and-miss. Skip this one, it’s a miss. It’s not the sequel to Dungeon Village it wants to be. The controls for the village and simulation aspects are very non intuitive, and the rpg elements are boring and repetitive. There is very little value for simulation lovers here, as there is no depth to the town. This feels like a game made by another developer entirely. I just can’t recommend this, especially to die hard fans and even to new players. This is not one of them. It is like most mobile rpgs in that it revolves around making friends, buying cosmetics, dumping tons of money and time into weapons/armor, running repetitive dungeons that never truly feel rewarding as crappy gear clogs up your inventory, and spends a lot of time trying to get you to buy tickets to do a random draw for rare items and buildings. There is a town building aspect of this game but it’s extremely mediocre with very little actual management involved. Your town gives you items and gold but not nearly enough to meet the demands of quests, upgrades, expansions, etc. All in all I’d give this a pass. Perhaps if more time was spent on the actual gameplay and less on the cosmetic aspects and weapon/armor/skill grinding it would be worthwhile. Most of the 1 star complains about ads and says please bring back $4.99 game without ads. Honestly, you can pay $7.99 to remove ads and have other extra perks as well. If you are willing to pay 4.99, I guess maybe 7.99 is also ok for you since everything is getting more and more expensive. Kairosoft just raises the price in an implicit way. I think one improvement I would like to see is, maybe we can own more than one town without buying new character. I see there is a tab for expanding town, but it seems like it is not clickable. After I finish all those 20 stages, I now feel less motivation to continue playing and leveling up my other classes. As much as people keep asking for Kairo to stop making these freemium games and give us cool NON FREEMIUM sequels i just don't understand this move. Here we all are just dying to give you our money, $4.99 for a Dungeon Village 2 for instance, and Kairosoft is all “no! Take this game with somewhat crappy controls and completely full of ads!” What i didn't like: 1. The controls aren't as smooth as could be hoped for and i find myself pointed in the wrong direction frequently. This is annoying during battle especially. The controls for placing buildings in your town are also sloppy with buildings sometimes ending up off screen during the placement process and then you have to back up and reselect what you want to build and try again. The buildings also move too fast so placing streets and plants can be annoying. 2. Cant zoom out, i want to see more but you're up too close. 3. $7.99 to remove ads?? If you need to raise your prices a little fine. $4.99 cant last forever but $7.99 to remove ads and also putting in app purchases on this game? Uh...No. again, make dungeon village 2 and charge me $5.99 and don't have a bunch of dumb in app purchases and I'm there with my money for you. 4. The objectives and quests for this game aren't always clear. Im not entirely sure what to do sometimes. 5. The build your own town isn't as cute or easy to arrange as ...the dungeon village version. Stuff just doesn't fit together as nicely. It isn't as attractive either. And when placing buildings they go all over the place and sometimes get lost at the bottom of the screen so you cant put them in a spot. Its just annoying. This game isn't as polished as it should be. I reeeeeally wanted to like this and play it but i almost immediately lost interest. i did like that you guys tried to put mini games in like the fishing and stuff, i guess thats a cool feature but not enough to make me keep playing or spend money. I miss the way your games used to be where id just buy it and play for hours and have so much fun. Sure it has its flaws, but the ambition and the ideas are good, and I see it as a step in the right direction, besides the microtransactions and ads. Most if the 1 star reviews are unwarranted as people say things like "iF iT wAs fReE I wOuLd pLaY iT aLl NiGhT" companies have to make money too and if you don't want the ads, pay the money to remove them I would like to see more games like this, or continual updates with this one!
