1. Outdoor Escape Games (For Locals) 
These are perfect for a spontaneous day out in your own city. Think of them like escape rooms, but played outdoors in the fresh air.

For Couples: Try “Murder Mystery: Crime on Date Night.” Skip the usual dinner and movie. Instead, work together to catch a killer and solve the case. It is a fun relationship test for partners.

For Families: Play “Kid Quest.” This is designed specifically for parents with children ages 4 to 8. You walk through the park, solve easy riddles, and take fun photos together.

For Friends: Challenge your group to solve a mystery before time runs out.

2. Story-Driven Sightseeing (For Travelers) 
Don't just look at the landmarks. Step into the story behind them. We work with local writers to create walking games based on history and legends.

New York: Walk the streets of the revolution in “Hamilton.”

London: Hunt for the truth in “Jack the Ripper.”

Zurich: Follow the path of a genius in “Einstein.”

I loved this app. I will be using it again. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is for the smoothness and challenge. It’s not as smooth as it could be nor as challenging. I felt I was blowing through it. As far as being smooth, the story clues in relation to the landmarks were a little random. They could have been more cohesive. All in all, still a fun experience, like nothing I’ve done before.

We discovered this app when looking for something fun to do on Halloween night. The ad we found through Eventbrite made it seem like we would be participating in a combination escape room / scavenger hunt based around local folklore. What we got was a mobile game with walking involved. The “Real World Challenges” generally just take you to a location and read a sign. The actual “story” of our quest was entirely fictional, and not very challenging.

The codes we purchased on this app were giving us “invalid” when we tried to input them. When we followed the “AI support” instructions, it prompted us to simply buy another ticket for each of us. No possibility of no ahold of a real person, no assistance at all. 1/5 will avoid using this app ever again.

I did a quest in Spokane, Washington, and enjoyed it. The puzzles were fun, if somewhat easy. The walk and architecture of the Gonzaga campus made the experience a delight.

I purchased a second quest, and traveled from my home some 30 miles away, only to discover I was being directed back to the Gonzaga campus. While the storyline changed, the developers used the exact same site. Seeing new places, art, history, etc. is half the fun.

I reviewed the quest in app, conveying my disappointment,  and the developers erased my negative review! 

Not sure if they can erase this one or not. We’ll see.

This was a super fun double date night, using this program!  Walking around downtown at night with an adventurous murder mystery that had challenging puzzles and clues to figure out!  So happy we did it!

We had an enjoyable time on one of their one day only events. We brought our 11-year-old and our 4-year-old. The 11 year old had a wonderful time. 

There were riddles and puzzles to solve and we walked around parts of town we had never been before. 

The only con was there was road construction that created a diversion, but it was hardly Questo’s fault to not know about the city blocking off streets. There were several adventures we see are available anytime we will probably try in the future.

I did the murder mystery in Vancouver Wa but stopped mid way because of the poor interaction. I expected an interactive game with object clues that required more skill and not just holding my phone reading puzzle clues and location hoping with no real point. Also bad areas to be in after dark
