Description

The Quick Border is a solution for pre-enrolling travellers' biometric and biographic information in preparation for crossing the borders of the Schengen Area. It is developed by Frontex' Research and Innovation Unit as a Pilot Project aimed to test how this type of mobile app can help travellers and border guards in speeding up the border crossing procedures while ensuring comfort, security and ease of use. The app is developed in accordance with fundamental rights, data protection regulations, and cybersecurity norms and will be available for testing by volunteer travellers on selected flights from the second quarter of 2024.
