Save Your Money and Time

QuietScrob is great when it works, but more often than not, it doesn’t. I constantly had to manually add and remove scrobbles from my last.fm profile.

It Works

It actually scrobbles songs that haven’t been added to my library. I periodically reopen in the app to make sure it’s still scrobbling. Downside is that there’s no way to manually add songs, which is what I do when I’m listening to music offline; have to use another app for that.

An Essential App

If you are a music nerd, that is. I’ve used this app for four years and it’s almost always worked flawlessly. I open it up and everything gets logged to last.fm. Pretty simple, but that’s all it needs to be. For some reason within the past week the app has been missing scrobbles. I’ll open the app and there will be a several hour (or several minute) gap where everything I had been listening to won’t be reflected. No matter how many times I close and re-open the app, those plays never reappear which is a bummer. This is happened three times in the past week and I’m not sure what changed or what’s going wrong. I’m listening to local music directly off my phone, there should be no reason for those missed plays. Amazing, incredible app otherwise, just a bummer to be hit with technical difficulties recently.

Scrobble at 50%

This is an amazing app, but I think it would be really helpful if it scrobbled the songs at 50% rather than 100%.

mostly good

it’s a pretty good app. I love the fact that you can try it before paying, which is why I decided to purchase the full version! however, some tracks occasionally won’t be scrobbled, which is very annoying.

Needs update

Stopped working recently and have been unable to use as of November 12th, 2023. It just crashes after a while when opening. Not sure if the music from Apple Music is being parsed differently after an update or what. Needs updating.

Works like a charm for me

I see some negative reviews here claiming the app is broken and doesn’t work. For me it does exactly what I expect it to — it scrobbles my Apple Music listens in the background without any interaction with it. Yes, occasionally background refresh stops, but literally all I have to do it open the app, and it will upload all the listened tracks and restart the background refresh.
